Every year a professional society I belong to has its annual meeting in Chicago.
I refuse to go as I refuse to support this criminal city. I have never been to the meeting.
I emailed the director of the meeting about when the meeting would be held elsewhere. I got no response.

Chicago is a heavily unionized city and union contracts escalate with the minimum wage. Not unexpected at all. I'm going to guess that, if the minimum wage is LOWERED, union contracts do NOT also lower union wages.
