No one can be married by a JP in the county courthouse, I guess. I wonder if there is a difference in the divorce rates between those who get married by a JP and those who get married in some sort of religious ceremony.

IMHO, it depends on who, atheists may have fairly stable marriages.
You mean those religious ceremonies where the couples only go to church for 3 months before the service and are never seen there again?
