They have to guess on the strains many months ahead of time. I’m amazed they get as right as they do.
I just got my flu shot a week ago. Its all over the place here; hoping I get enough immunity from the shot to at least blunt the effects if I do get the flu.
I have had good luck with the shot in years past.
You said what I was thinking. What’s the point of getting a vaccine that’s ineffective against this flu? Especially if you’re one to have side effects from the vaccine?
I had to go to the hospital a couple of weeks ago. Sure enough, four days later I had a fever of 103 and felt awful. Three days later, I was fine.
The vaccine lays me up for weeks.
