This is for show. ISIS has GAINED territory since we started bombing, mainly in Southern Syria where the regime of Assad is shakier than ever, the man isn’t even in charge of anything anymore.

ISIS have also not ceded 1 square mile of territory in Iraq. The security forces there are useless.

We’re not sending in troops, so its time to just leave this war to the Iranians and the Saudis. They’re the ones who are under direct threat. They can pay the damn bill.

Remember, we dropped more bomb tonnage on North Vietnam than we did on Germany in WWII. And who won the Vietnam War? Bottom line - bombs don’t win wars by themselves.

You opine: ...”its time to just leave this war to the Iranians and the Saudis. They’re the ones who are under direct threat...”

Well, that would certainly allow them to finish their stated goal of slaughtering every Christian - CHRISTIANS that have lived in Syria and in Iraq for over 2,000 years and that have been Christians for 2,000 - One of the oldest Christian groups on earth.

Christians that they have been slaughtering and driving out of their ancestral homes, especially in Mosul.

Cristian men women and children are having their heads chopped off -

Never mind - leave them to it???

refugees, hiding in ERbil - uncomfortable close to ISIL controlled areas and in ISIL’s gun sights - and who the HELL is helping? (Sins of OMISSION)

LISTEN TO THIS (you won’t hear it on OUR media - O’bummer forbids it. NO EXCUSE. You have a keyboard? You have access to this news. But most people, sadly many Freepers, turn a blind eye. ) - and even say - leave ‘em to it -

Unless you can credibly threaten total nuclear annihilation like we did to the Japanese with atomic bombs. The NVA and the Vietcong knew that if we threatened them with the same, the Soviets would make us back down with a nuclear counter threat.

Best practice would be to NOT notify odumbo of any planned attacks on ISIS, for obvious reasons.

Using this logic, we would be involved in conflict all around the globe. We’d be invading North Korea right now.

The world has a population of 7 billion, a large percentage of which want to kill each other for one reason or another.

America does not have the will to fight these battles. She is broke, and the troops approval rating of their president is below 20%!

What’s wrong, they couldn’t find 30 empty mountain tops to trim but only 29?

in response to my response to your original post, you say:

“Using this logic, we would be involved in conflict all around the globe. We’d be invading North Korea right now.

WEll, Using YOUR logic, we not only would not have fought Hitler ...on advice from Chamberlain...(and be speaking German now) we wouldn’t have HAD to fight Hitler as there would have BEEN no NAZI’S - we would’ve all been converted to Islam - or killed - hundreds of years before Nazi Germany -

there but for Charles Martel -

AS for North Korea - we created that - by not letting our forces fight to WIN...

Trouble is today, WE created ISIL. If we had gone to Iraq and the ‘ghan to FIGHT TO WIN - the wars would’ve been over years ago...and O’b wouldn’t have the opportunity to turn everything over the the Tallies - who morphed in ISIL - and were given free reign - and armaments - to get a firm foothold.

ISIL’S protector is within our gates. Currently arranging to let 70,000 more un-vetted muzzies in our country - Indeed, for years, (one example) been paying ave. of $5,000 each for 100’s to go thru’ truck driving school - and now on our highways behind the wheels of semis. Wanna guess how much damage one loaded semi could do? Or several in a coordinated action acorss the country?

Nah. NOthing to worry about. Not until AFTER things blowup in your own, literally, back yard.

Sleep well.

29 heavy bombers in one sortie should carpet bomb the entire desert with cluster bombs. Forget this pin prick nonsense.

Exactly. All the F-15’s, F-16’s, F/A-18’s etc are doing is p*ssing them off. Let the big boys carpet bomb them for a week or so and then see if they want to have a meaningful discussion.

Bring on some Linebacker type bombing and see how long ISIS fighters take to go AWOL.

Said it before, and I borrowed it from someone: If it is worth a strike, leave them with nothing but smoking ashes and greiving widows. Then do it again and again.

I take your point, and I understand where you are coming from, but I’m asking where does it end? Muslims want to kill us. That’s just a fact. If we destroy ISIS, blow up all their soldiers... then you and I both know another ISIS will rise up in their place with photographs of children we supposedly killed through our ‘imperialism’ and the cycle goes on and on and on.

You would literally have to turn the entire ME to glass to solve this problem. I want long term solutions rather than endless short term wars where we keep fighting the same enemy over and over again.

and the cycle goes on and on and on.

And it has for quite awhile. In the late 1400's Islam was knocking-on-the-door of Paris. The French finally decided enough was enough, and drove them out. Now, they're back.

You would literally have to turn the entire ME to glass to solve this problem.

If that's what it takes ...
