I met my Filipina wife on the internet and we communicated for hours using the IM feature and the video feature ... both very easy to operate and very fast and efficient ... we LOVED it for THAT factor
FaceBook has taken over the world by storm and WE have an account (because a lot of her Filipina friends use FB)
Our circle of friends is 34 and THAT is too much because ...
all you need is one friend to clutter up your page and e-mail with pictures, recipes, comments like OMG ... LOL ... and etc
FB is a crowded conglomeration of people that think they have something for you
FB ALSO has this insidious feature that ... if your ego tripping friend has a friend of HERS that is also ego tripping ... you end up with THEIR comments, pictures etc
Bottom line ... YHM is superior to FB for communication
HERE IS WHY I POSTED THIS ON THIS THREAD
People like things that are new regardless whether that new thing is better or not ... they like it, they want it and they will defend it because it's THEIRS and it's new
THAT'S why the A-10 is being done away with
In the eyes of people, NEW STUFF is better than old and they will accept new stuff only because it's new, never considering whether the old is a good thing or not

The A-10 is being scrapped because the Air Force hates the CAS mission. They want nothing to do with it. This is not the 1st time the A-10 has been on the chopping block. The Air Force wanted it gone before the first Gulf War. Unfortunately for them it more than proved it’s worth and Congress told them to pack sand. Don’t bet on the A-10 being cut. The Army and Marine Corps both want it around, and are screaming bloody murder over this. Sen McCain is also fighting this very hard. I don’t see Congress approving this.
