JRW Supporters Suggest Decision To Take Title Racially Motivated

February 11, 2015 2:58 PM

(CBS) – There are accusations that racism was behind the decision by Little League International to strip the Jackie Robinson West team of the national title over cheating by the adults who run the team.

“We know that we’re champions, our parents know that we’re champions and the team’s parents know we’re champions and Chicago knows we’re champions,” said JRW catcher Brandon Green.

Green said the players did nothing wrong as he stood with his mother, Rev. Jesse Jackson and Fr. Michael Pfleger at the headquarters of Rainbow Push.

“It is amazing to me that whenever African-Americans exceed the expectations, that there is always going to be fault,” Venisa Green said.

Venisa Green said Little League officals were bullied into taking away JRW’s championship.

“Little League says that they teach character and they teach courage, well this isn’t an act of courage and it sure isn’t an act of character,” she said.

Fr. Michael Pfleger called the decision racist.

“You need to reverse your decision and you need to do it now,” Fr. Pfleger said.

Rev. Jesse Jackson also suggested race was behind the decision.

We knew and expected that this would soon be coming from the race hustlers, but why did it take more than a day Jesse?

Obviously rules and regulations should only apply to blacks when they are to their benefit. In all other cases blacks should be free to ignore said rules and regulations without penalty or comment. That is only just.

I do get sick of this race based double standard garbage!

By Mark Konkol on February 11, 2015 9:49am | Updated on February 11, 2015 11:19pm

Evergreen Park Little League Vice President Chris Janes said he noticed news reports during and after the Little League World Series that quoted suburban officials celebrating various players as hometown heroes, which raised questions about whether Chicago-based Jackie Robinson West abided by Little League residency rules.

CHICAGO — Evergreen Park Athletic Association Vice President Chris Janes, who first called for an investigation into Jackie Robinson West’s boundary changes, says he has received several threatening phone calls, including death threats, since the team was stripped of its U.S. title Wednesday.

“We got about 50 messages,” he told DNAinfo Chicago. “I only listened to a few. Some were gibberish ... saying things like ‘You’re an a———.’ A couple said, ‘You deserve to die.’”

“I’m not really concerned. People have been leaving s-—— emails and voicemails.”

Janes said he has support from the local police.

“An Evergreen Park police car has been parked in front of my house all morning,” he said.

I haven’t heard any of the parents or coaches fess up that they violated the rules. They are either in denial, or feel they are entitled to it.

Affirmative action allowed them to cheat all their life, it isn’t fair to expect to stop now.

This was no accident or misunderstanding.

The team management and parents knowingly cheated and even went so far as to ask officials of the teams they purloined ineligible players from to go along with the scam but were rebuffed.

These people are accustomed to skating by on the basis of their skin color, they live and prosper by ignoring rules and laws.

They don’t understand the meaning of honesty, personal responsibility or only taking what you have earned.

In effect they have looted the Little League system and are now incensed when actually held responsible for their actions.

They are teaching their children to scam and steal, not to be honest, fair and work within the laws and rules.

No good will come of this effort to turn this into a race issue.

The race pimps and whining parents will ensure that another group of young black boys grow into adults full of resentment and and racial hate, believing they have been unfairly treated and cheated out of their championship because they are black, not because the adults tried to cheat the system.

Of course the fact that Rahm is up for reelection has nothing to do with his stance.

Chicago Mayor backs cheating Little League team
UPI

CHICAGO, Feb. 11 (UPI) — Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is still standing behind a Little League team, accused of cheating.

Jackie Robinson West (Chicago) has been stripped of its U.S. championship title in the 2014 Little League Baseball International Tournament by little league baseball for rule violations regarding its players, according to multiple sources.

Champions don't cheat, and no Jesse, the actions of the Little League were not racially motivated, but yours, predictably, are racially motivated.

When did we become a nation that not only tolerates an entitlement mentality to thrive in a 'minority' population, but also tolerates blatant profiteering of racism that has been the indirect cause of hundreds of deaths and billions in property loss?

It’s Chicago. Everyone cheats. It’s just part of the game as far as they’re concerned.

If the shoe was on the other foot and Las Vegas had been found to have cheated, would the Jackie Robinson supporters be saying it was racially motivated and refuse to accept the trophy?
