I thought we were above a lot of things—falsifying scientific data was one of them.

Remember when Sagan said that we should lay off Iraq because if they ignited the Kuwaiti oil fields we’d be plunged into nuclear winter?

I sure don't but that's very interesting. Sagan talked about nuclear winter and nuclear disaster over and over in his version of "Cosmos". The classic one. I repeated an elementary high school physics class just to watch that series a second time. I was a heathen then.

“I don’t know if our country has any precedent for emergent scientific truths to be debated on political grounds,”

Pot kettle black. Ooops, too racist.

Milankovitch Cycles. Maunder Minimum. Medieval Warming Period. Growing grapes for wine in Roman-era England. Ice cores from Greenland. CO2 not as powerful of a greenhouse gas as WATER VAPOR. The hydrologic cycle as it relates to the aforementioned water vapor.

What many of these fools don't understand is that if their theory about greenhouse gases were correct, there never would have been life on this planet.

Water vapor is the dominant greenhouse gas. Above Freezing it exhibits the greenhouse gas effect of absorption and re-emission of energy. This creates a positive feedback effect that warms the planet.

When water vapor gets to a certain level, it forms clouds which reflect light before it gets a chance to warm the ground and the lower levels of atmosphere. It becomes a negative feedback effect.

CH4 and C02 are trivial in comparison to the effect of a substance that diffuses into the air from 3/4ths of the Earth's surface.

Water vapor regulates the temperature on planet earth through both positive and negative feedback effects, and it mitigates any extremes.

If any of these idiots actually had any actual knowledge of science, they would not be so cocksure about their opinions. (Which are wrong.)

Tyson isn’t a scientist.

If he were, he wouldn’t be whining to the media about a matter of science.

In fact, allow me to translate:

“Why won’t you buy our fake science so that we can tax you into oblivion?”

Well he’s so smart why doesn’t he just “prove it” like a real scientist is expected to do?

“Is he a real scientist?”

No, but he once stayed at a Holiday Inn.

100% right. That is what is wrong with these claims that “science” proves climate change. Science is based on observations, hypotheses and proof. The fact that none of the climate change predictions have been remotely close is evidence that those who believe in climate change are the ones ignoring the science.

I saw this guy hosting an episode of a doc dealing with ancient Earth history & could not stomach watching it for too long. Not due just to the content but mostly over his condescending child like narration as though he were taking down to us as though his audience were retarded. When a narrator thinks so lowly of you that they talk to you like you are a moron I get very annoyed & sick to my stomach. I cannot watch him speak about anything without feeling nauseous... so he in in “good company” in that photo where he is posing with Zero & Nye the faux “science” guy who angrily defends AGW as though it were a sacrament.

“I blame the electorate.”

Well, one point we can agree on.
And the Media - they get the lion's share of the blame. Gate keepers of information and censors to ensure people are steered toward socialistic conclusions.

Still, blaming the electorate is fair. People need to see through the B.S. they are being fed. Electing an unqualified conman for President, and paying any attention to some self-appointed 'Science Priest' is no one else's fault but those who swallow the bilge-water.
