The cart before the horse. Ben, give it up baby, your 15 and one half minutes are over. Go back to brain surgery, hopefully you are better at that than running for president. Make no mistake, you came on strong, but it did not last, and it’s over.

This guy just ain’t ready for prime-time.

Hip-Hop was a symptom of the disease, just like the break-down of the black family was a symptom.

The black culture walking away from a foundation in God was the disease.

It’s liberalism, not hip hop. Up until the 90’s most hip hop was no more counter culture and anti establishment then rock music. Up until the late 90’s you could still find hip hop portrayed in a fun way, I.e. Will Smith. Now hip hop has even taken over r&b and its all either gangsta or over sexualized.

No. Music appreciation comes from within.

Ol’ Ben just keeps disappointing me. Doesn’t he realize that LBJ and the democRATS’ “Great Society” and the gubmint check taking the place of the male breadwinner in the family is what ruined the black family. Then came hip-hop, drugs, gangs, and everything else.

The White-Owned record companies loved Hip Hop because their records are cheap to produce.

If you had ever read his book you would know that he realizes that the Great Society was a great disaster.

For crying out loud, read his book. Actually, there’s more than one.

I think this is kind of ignorant. Was LBJ- influenced by hiphop?

I kind of doubt it.

Hip-hop is just one more way a culture dances to the tune of the illegal drug industry, which an addiction that destroys individuals, families and rots America.

“Delusional” would be a better description than “hopeful” to describe Dr. Carson’s presidential ambitions.

Dint look now, but we’re all getting older. It’s more like 50 years now.

Hip hop didn’t cause it. Hip hop and rap feed off the deterioration that’s already there.

I blame LBJ’s “Great Society”

I agree. Democrats couldn't stop civil rights, so they created welfare to keep the black communities oppressed.

The culture is multiple generations deep now. Trying to instill personal responsibility in these people is akin to trying to explain freedom to a North Korean.

There are so many catalysts that contributed to the degeneration of a culture. Each food for a parasite that has been allowed to reproduce because of the breakdown in morals, ethics, adherence to the absolutes of worship.

See 7 deadly sins for the name of each parasite.
