The Obama administration has finally acknowledged that those hurt and killed in the 2009 Fort Hood shootings were victims of terrorism—and not “workplace violence,” as it was previously described. But while formal recognition of that is set for Friday, when victims will receive the Purple Heart, it may only be symbolic.
Fox News has learned as part of its ongoing investigation of the 2009 terrorist attack that the military, at least in one case, is still denying benefits for injuries sustained in the attack.
“I think it's almost unheard of for someone to receive the Purple Heart but not have their injuries deemed combat-related,” Shawn Manning, who was seriously injured in the 2009 attack, told Fox News. “I know that was not what Congress intended to have happen, but it is what currently the Army has determined is going to happen.”
On Nov. 5, 2009, then-Staff Sgt. Manning was shot six times by Maj. Nidal Hasan. Two bullets are still in his body—one in his leg, the other in his back—and he suffers from PTSD. The 2015 defense budget—known as the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA—included language that meant Fort Hood victims were eligible for the Purple Heart honor because the attack was inspired by a foreign terrorist group, and not workplace violence, as the Defense Department initially labeled it. Manning submitted new paperwork so the Army would recognize his injuries were sustained in the line of duty. But his appeal was rejected by a physical evaluation board, apparently based on a narrow interpretation of the law. …

Now I hear that Obama---because of distorted logic that no one can understand---has ordered planes to go to places in Central America in order to pick up minors who have relatives in the United States.
Has the Obama administration gone completely insane?
As I understand it, the distorted, sick Obama thinking goes something like this:
1. The minors in Central America will be coming to the United States anyway.
2. So to save them from making the long and dangerous journey from Central America to the United States to re-unite with relatives, it is only right---and a morally humanitarian action---that we go down there and fly them to the United States. As Obama likes to say when he tries to justify one of his controversial actions: "It is the right thing to do." Again, has Obama and his thugs gone completely insane when it comes to this massive illegal immigration mess from Central America?
3. Next, airlifts from Brazil, Africa, and Asia? Following Obama's sick, distorted reasoning: Does it now mean that Obama will authorize through "executive action" airlifts of minors from Latin American countries---like Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia---and from Africa and Asia in order to "save" those minors from making the dangerous journey from their countries to the United States to re-unite with relatives, here legally or illegally, already in the United States?
Yes, our immigration policy is out of control, and the main reason it is out of control is the chaotic actions of madman President Obama.
Soldiers are the epitome of “bitter clingers” - Americans who cling to God and to guns and to a hatred for communist bigots. It’s no wonder Obama hates our soldiers even more than he hates the Jews.
What I can’t figure out is why people still sign up. Obama’s military seems to exist mostly to promote political correctness, especially gay/transgender advancement. Protecting the country does not seem to be on the agenda.
