There goes that “natural ally” of the USA against Islamic terrorism helping Islamic terrorists again. (Who called Russia that? A couple of people . . .)

Why does Russia care about the Palestinian Authority? They have no resources.

Russia could be a natural ally of any nation trying to fight or defend against Islamic terrorist gangs. ( But America under Obama finsnces, arms, trains, defends, and promotes islamoNazi myrder gangs like PLO/Hamas, muslim Brothers, Iran , etc. All the worst and then some ) so - no alliance

The palies were Russian proxies going back to Arafat. Say what you will about Putin, he sticks with his allies until the last dog dies.

Maybe Russia has animus against Israel. Take note of Russia’s thriving bilateral relations with Iran, in the same vein. Russia is not what one would call “capitalist”.

Not for the length of time Russia has supported Islamic terrorism, even going back to Nasser. Their attitude seems to be that they will help the terrorists so long as they do not turn against Russia, as the Chechens did.

They seem to have been for quite a while. No more virulent enemies of the old USA, right? Never mind the USSR’s aid to Nasser back in the day.

I always thought the militant islam to go hand in hand with communist political action. It is not instructional or religious at all.

Russia could be a natural ally of any nation trying to fight or defend against Islamic terrorist gangs.

Putin is smart in many ways, but one of his weaknesses is his reflex adherence to old Soviet ways and alliances. That is his training, after all. It is all he ever knew, despite his nod to Solzhenitsyn's memory. In Putin's view, Arab states are clients, not headstrong equals as the Saudis view themselves.
