Posted on 04/15/2015 8:42:48 AM PDT by Perseverando
Federal law enforcement officials are investigating the online publication of home addresses of senior officials and former officials of the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other agencies, CBS News has learned.
Investigators became aware of the incident Tuesday, reports CBS News correspondent Jeff Pegues.
Last month, the names and personal information of 100 U.S. military personnel were leaked online by a group claiming allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
In this case, however, sources tell CBS News that investigators believe an apparent right-wing extremist group is behind the posting of the information.
In a statement, DHS said: "The safety of our workforce is always a primary concern. DHS has notified employees who were identified in the posting and encouraged them to be vigilant. DHS will adjust security measures, as appropriate, to protect our employees."
A message along with the posting titled "DHS-CIA-FBI TRAITORS HOME ADDRESSES" states:
"LET THESE EVIL NWO SATANISTS KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY FOR THEIR 911 TREASON, AND THEIR FUTURE FEMA CAMP PLANNED PUBLIC CRACKDOWN TREASON ALSO
JESUS IS LORD, AND THE PUBLIC IS IN CHARGE, NOT THESE SATANIC NWO STOOGES"
Investigators are trying to track down the source or sources of the disclosure.

Action of "right-wing extremists?" Really"
I'm calling this an Obama false flag at worst; a Muslim Brotherhood operation at best. Oh wait, that's a redundancy. Nevermind!
I don’t really see any “right-wing” here. Looks more like someone tried to mix an Alex Jones follower with a truther and a Bible-thumper.
Personally I think they should be required to POST SIGNS in their Front Yards and Windows notifying the Public that they are Government Agents.
NO SPECIAL RIGHTS FOR ANYONE!!
Truthers? At best it sounds like the Ron Paul crowd, at worst is sounds like what a bunch of extreme lefties or muslims imagine a conservative would post.
Yet the media was never concerned when the names and addresses of gun permit owners or financial supporters of traditional marriage are disseminated over the internet.
They leaked it themselves.
Its clear the last few months of this corrupt radical leftwing administration will be pretty bumpy.
Exactly. Pi$$ on em. I don't care who released the info.
Sounds like something the editors at Salon would come up with.
Circ’s right: this is a ham-handed hoax attempt, most likely done by the script kids at Anonymous or hipsters off from college.
Crybabies. They are only upset because they know an accounting is due.
They already know far more about us.
Once again, I urge everyone to do intel on their local trough-feeders. FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, even Google, etc. People can’t help themselves...they just love to share info.
The Watchers MUST be watched.
My district’s Congressman used to live just down the street. Didn’t see him much, but saw his wife and daughter quite a bit.
Also knew where the County Sheriff lived, because his son played in our baseball league
In Washington DC, for a time I lived next door to a well-known figure from the Watergate Investigation.
Americans SHOULD know where their public officials live, even those involved with so-called “security.”
If we don’t - then we are no better than Russia or China
I think you’re right about false-flag.
Every morning on my way into to work I listen to “hate talk radio (as the lefties around here call it). Every morning there is a 1-minute ad for a group that calls themselves “Engineers for 9/11 truth” (or thereabouts). They used to feature ed asner doing the voice-over but now they’ve switched up to a soft, calming female voice - but the message is still the same: “they are lying to you about what happened on 9/11”
I’ve often wondered why they advertise on a right of center station - or if there are right-wingers who are truthers?
How many times have we heard this story or one just like it from the permanent “victim” crowd and it turned out to be a staged false flag event? Too many to count...
The last line says it all - JESUS IS LORD, AND THE PUBLIC IS IN CHARGE, NOT THESE SATANIC NWO STOOGES”
You KNOW no right wing people would be THAT stupid so it has to be the permanent victim crowd up to its old antics....
It’s very ironic government can literally destroy the security and safety of entire neighborhoods, towns and cities by flooding them with criminal illegal aliens, Muslims etc.
Yet government seem to get very excited about someone’s information being released.
Publicly available information has been released to the public! Be afraid!
It is really the Illuminati pretending to be Satanists pretending to be ISIS. Any fool can see that...
We’ve watch half the country being literally overrun with criminals entering the country illegally, all 100% aided and abetted by government, then forcing citizens to pay for it.
This has left tens of thousands of American victims in it’s wake. Stabbed, robbed, murdered, shot, raped, burglarized, ran over and on and on. Putting at risk entire neighborhoods and cities.
But suddenly when an official of government has his personal information released, it’s a very big deal and very dangerous for these officials.
What about the rest of us?
NO SPECIAL RIGHTS FOR ANYONE!!
From the article:
"Last month, the names and personal information of 100 U.S. military personnel were leaked online by a group claiming allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)."
Regarding threats from ISIS against U.S. military personnel, I used to review Marine flag grade biographies on the USMC website. I would scan to see who was still active, retired & deceased just to see some of those I used to know (and know of) from many years ago and what their status was.
However several years ago I found that their bio's had been deleted from the site. I thought it a little odd that Marines would no longer be able to read about some of the legends of the Corps. However I just assumed it was a security issue since some of the bio's listed number of children and spouses name.
Anyway, I always thought it was nice of the Corps to remember past leaders on the site.
