“Good riddance.”
“Let me be clear: That photo does not represent the values of the city of Chicago that we all share in common. It doesn’t represent the values of the Police Department,” Emanuel said...

Believed to have been taken in a West Side police station between 1999 and 2003, the Polaroid photo was given to the city by the feds in 2013 and resulted in McDermott, a clout-heavy cop, being fired last year by the police board in a 5-to-4 vote.
The four dissenters said McDermott should only have been suspended. But a majority of the board wrote that “appearing to treat an African-American man not as a human being but as a hunted animal is disgraceful and shocks the conscience.”
Meanwhile, murders gallop across the cityscape of Chicago....silence from the civil rights fearmongers.
They should have tied him to the front of a police cruiser.. more realistic. ;-}

While I admit we have issues in our police ranks (a problem I believe comes from the head down) I think every police officer should walk off the job. I am glad I did years ago and never looked back. Let’s see how the ivory towers like that plan.
What’s the problem here? They ought to have open season on drug dealers and gangbangers.
The “victim” seems to have nailed the bagged deer look quite well... mimicking the classic flaccid tongue (post mortem) of a deer is priceless. I’d say he was in on the joke. I’d be happy to have a beer summit with all three actors. Klink! Cheers!

Never heard a peep from old Rohm about the pics of Eric Holder threatening school administrators at gunpoint when he took over a campus building.
Only thing, Holder was not joking around, he was committing a felony at the time.
The “deer” was, claims the cop, a guy they detained with a bunch of weed. They let him go.
He provided the guns for the photo, too, supposedly.

He was a prisoner in their custody, not one of their “buddies” or “friends.”
Right- three guys goofing around is suddenly an exercise in racism...
You can’t fix stupid.
Racist or not, police posing for humorous photos with a suspect they have apprehended is probably good cause for letting a cop go. Doesn’t show that he is taking the job too seriously.

I agree. If it was one of their buddies that is just them goofing around. And it of course wouldn’t be racist.
But with a suspect? That is just weird. Either arrest him and throw the book at him, or let him go.
