So we learned that the cop
unlocked the doors via key fob.
Did we ever learn how the dog opened the door?

I await further explication of the incident before I cheer or scoff.

Did we ever learn how the dog opened the door? Trunk lids have been spring-loaded for ages. I suspect there is also a cop car option for a spring-loaded rear door, activated by a key fob. The human cop would still hsve to close the door, but we all know how careless dogs are about closing the door behind them. :)

Commonly, it opens the window and the dog jumps out.
