I am furious with this Marxist Papa and I am a Catholic. Thus saith the Lord: Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.

Humanity isn’t saved by liberal policy
and the earth isn’t in need of being saved by humans,
and more to the point,
you gain NO righteousness for believing EITHER of the above items.

All I'll say is that his predecessor wrote an encyclical which everyone in the English language press said was a clarion call for a global banking and finance authority.
But it actually said nothing of the kind.
We'll see what the official Latin text of this encyclical actually says.

Look for this Pope to step down once he reaches the big 8-0.

Excellent large graphic. If you use % to size your images they will occupy a percent of the available space no matter the size of the container. Like this:

Try moving the right side of the container...

One can hope. I’m all for Francis retiring, and Pope Benedict XVI taking over again.

What Latin text? Bergoglio has eschewed Latin.
The official text is Italian.

Remind me again, who is the harlot that sits on seven hills mentioned in Revelations?
To: jtal
There will be a Latin text. Most encyclicals have been composed principally in Italian for the past 100 years or more: long gone are the days when every bishop was expected to be a Latinist.
To: flaglady47
....Or maybe a younger, conservative cardinal?

“Pope Francis says that global warming is a fact and that a new global political authority is necessary...”
The Pope could always just get behind the U.N. or ISIS. Both of them have gotten a pretty good start on this new global political authority thing...

I thought the centerpiece of his papacy was supposed to be fighting corruption. And he wants to create a global political authority?
To: freedomfiter2
Is it Washington, D.C., or Hillary Clinton?
(I’m certain it’s not Jerusalem.)

seven hills? seven hills? Rome sits on seven hills. Where did I read that?
To: Mich Patriot
Now I wonder what it is that is burned to make a smoke signal regarding the election of a new pope.
Could it be old, useless encyclicals that emanate from the Vatican, rather like the truckloads of laws and edicts that get barfed out of Washington?
