Keith Olbermann, ESPN to Part Ways Once Again

The television personality, who rejoined the sports network in August 2013, won't be renewing his deal to anchor his ESPN2 program. The news follows a THR report on July 1, noting that ESPN management floated an ultimately unworkable caveat

I don’t see how ESPN can call itself a news outlet when they are so obviously controlled by the league. Keith probably did go overboard with his anti-Goodell rants but unless it is slanderous he should be allowed to say it, on his own show not a game broadcast.

They wanted him to stop all on-air commentary. Good riddance. The network is nothing but a propaganda wing for the NFL, which provides ESPN with its most popular programming.
