Limbaugh Rips Fox, Megyn Kelly for Pushing ‘War on Women’ at Debate
Mediaite ^ | 8/7/15 | Josh Feldman

Rush Limbaugh wasn’t exactly happy about last night’s debate, and took a few shots at Fox News and Megyn Kelly for how it went down.

Donald Trump and at least one of Kelly’s own colleagues weren’t happy with her line of questioning last night, and Limbaugh pointed out today that Kelly and her co-moderators Bret Baier and Chris Wallace got far more airtime than any of the candidates.

He also brought up Kelly’s question “filled with snark about Jesus” directed at John Kasich.

But what astonished him the most was how the Fox moderators basically made it seem like there’s a Republican “war on women.” And while he didn’t single out any questions in particular, but last night Kelly confronted Trump about his sexist attacks on women and asked Scott Walker, “Would you really let a mother die rather than have an abortion?”

If she aborted, then she wouldn't be a mother.... Unless you consider that what is in her womb is a baby.

I’m sure the FOX talking heads just spew whatever they’re told to say. Sucks to be them.

I just wonder how often these days a doctor has to tell a mother it’s either her or the baby. I imagine it’s used as a justification for pro-killing far more than the actual circumstances warrant.

Somebody needs to call out the MSM on the mother’s life and abortion issue. Do you know how rare that is? It’s practically a non-issue. It shouldn’t be focused on, politically, at all. The MSM and pro-aborts keep bringing it up like it happens all the time.

I can only imagine that a tubal pregnancy would be the most common example of a situation where a woman’s life could be endangered by a pregnancy.

But that situation is fairly rare and occurs very early on in a pregnancy.

I'm not sure why people think FOX anchors are conservative. That's so far from true, it's not even funny. Hannity is the only conservative, the rest are very moderate.

Chris Wallace was raised in a socialist household.

OK. Let’s see.

Fox had its biggest ratings in history with 24 million people watching why? Because of Trump. The last debate they did came in at 3 million.

So they went out of their way to trash him their ratings bonanza and the moderators think they are responsible for such big ratings. People drunk with power are delusional.

Good luck getting Trump back on Fox or at least on Kelly’s,Baier’s, or Wallace’s show. Bye bye ratings.

Most of the conservative women who watch fox news, do not need MegYn Kelly to stick up for “Gyrl Power”.
Her lame “mad as a hornet” look was embarrassing.

It was worth the price of admission to see Trump put the adversarial and divisive Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace in their places. Loved it. That’s why I liked to watch Newt Gingrich four years ago, becasue he wasn’t impressed with these self-important commentators and called them out when they asked him stupid questions.

The first thought I had, when I heard Trump was running - not about his winning or losing, just, “At least the debates will be interesting with him in there.”

As far as the obvious need to change the format (it’s not even close to a debate - more like Q&A session), an actual panel discussion wouldn’t be a bad format - this thing went for three hours, enough time to cover at least some of the important issues.

Some suggestions on a format change for the Republican candidates...

1) Neutral moderators who stay in the background

2) Rather than narrow, often meaningless and stupid questions, that are given to only certain candidates (what a stupid format - can’t compare that way with the “moderators” picking for their own purposes who answers which issue), instead revolve the discussion around four or five generally-agreed top issues of the day: a) big government b) the economy c) illegal immigration d) foreign policy e) national security

3) An open discussion of each issue, one issue at a time for a certain time period. Maybe each with brief opening statements on the issue, then opening it up to any and all to participate. This would of course also allow for meaningful open discussion and debate allowing the audience to actually compare and contrast the candidates, instead of these stupid 30-second sound bytes.

You may have to have some sessions that will mirror the 2016 General Election debate format to see how Republican candidates would do against Hillary or whoever the Socialist Democratic Party candidate is.
