Hopefully this won't get turned into another Mike Brown case. Based on the story, this seems to be about as righteous a defensive shooting as it gets. The carjacking suspect rammed a police car, tried to hit another officer, and had a handgun in his hands when he fell out of the car after being shot.
One could make the snarky comment of how a 15 year old got his hand on a handgun when that's illegal in most states, but I think I'll just be thankful the officers involved are alive and going home to their families tonight.

I meant suspect in the carjacking. No question that he tried to run down several police officers and was the police used deadly force in justified defense of their lives. Just observing the legal stuff.

Yeah, I caught that line, too. I guess we can’t expect anything else from an immediate family member, but yeesh! At 15, he already had a record for auto theft, was believed to be part of a carjacking crew that fired at people earlier in the evening, and tried to run over the cops. He’s a “good boy” like Tony Montana is a “nice guy”!
