The Phillies have historically been one of the NL’s less successful teams. Like the Cubs; last year at Wrigley Field an elderly man did the ceremonial delivery of the ball to home plate in celebration of his 100th birthday. It was pretty cool until I realized the last time the Cubs won the world series was six years before he was born.
