Posted on 09/07/2015 8:40:35 PM PDT by PROCON
On Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC)96%, who is leading the effort to oust House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)35% from his leadership post, said the effort to remove Boehner is getting momentum because GOP constituents are sick and tired of a GOP establishment leadership that does not fulfill campaign promises.
Meadows told guest-host Matt Boyle, who recently profiled the conservative North Carolina Representative in a feature story that can be read here, that Boehner will need the votes of Democrats to remain Speaker if a vote is held today. Regarding his motion to vacate the chair, Meadows noted that 25 Republicans did not vote for Boehner for Speaker in January and he said, based on private conversations, that there are at least a dozen more Republicans who are now willing to vote against Boehner.
As Breitbarts Boyle has thoroughly documented, if not a single Democrat votes for Boehner, then 29 Republicans would have to vote against Boehner for him to lose the election if every House Member is present for the vote. In addition to the 25 Republicans who did not vote for Boehner in January, three more Republicans have publicly declared that they will not vote for Boehner if another vote comes up, and Meadows said, I can tell you based on the numbers right now, [Boehner] would need Democrats in order to remain as Speaker.

Let's hope Rep. Meadows is successful and doesn't get thrown under the bus.
It is past time to remove the old drunken booze hound.
I would just like a Speaker whose definition of “bipartisanship” is not “bend over every time the Democrats want something.”
Let's get some Leadership with real BALLS in there!
The voters of Ohio need to see that this a-hole, do-nothing crybaby loses his seat next election.
Boehner Is Speaker Of The House Who LOVES To Do As DemocRATS Want

The speaker of the US House of Representatives John Boehner has told a Dublin audience of his determination to overcome Republican resistance to immigration reform, Arthur Beesley wrote from Dublin, Ireland, for the Irish Times:
Mr Boehner also told how Taoiseach Enda Kenny has harangued him on the matter, telling him how the lack of reform has left some Irish immigrants listening to a parents funeral by phone. His remarks indicate he may yet move to confront opponents of reform within his own Republican party, which is in the vanguard of resistance to it and has a majority in the House.
Imitating Mr Kenny, Mr Boehner said he was seated at lunch between the Taoiseach and President Obama. The Taoiseach says: John, John, John. He says: Hows immigration reform coming? Mr Boehner replied: What the hell do you care about immigration reform? Mr Kenny: Oh John, John. You dont realise there are about 50k of my fellow Irishmen came to the US and never quite made it back across the pond. You know their cousins have got to hold up the cell phone at their parents funeral so their kids in Chicago or Detroit or wherever can listen to the funeral. John, John this is a serious problem. Last Thursday when they met, Mr Kennys message was concise. The Taoiseach said: I think you understand, just get it done.
Boehner spokesman Kevin Smith told Breitbart News earlier on Monday, after the Irish Times piece, that the Speaker remains committed to reform. (Click For More)
I'm always skeptical until I see proof.
I truly hope Rep. Meadows is successful, we drastically need a change in Republican leadership!
The pastor mentioned to pray for Mark that it's going to be Boehner or him soon.
Seems like an easy choice to me.....
Prayer works, let’s hope the good Congressman prevails.
Shortly after the 2012 election when both Boehner and McConnell were selected as the GOP leadership it was clear we were lied to and betrayed. That was the final straw for me and the GOP.
If he is successful in ousting Boehner and getting the House leadership position, I will once again feel more optimistic.
Democrats will step forward to keep him in. After all with a 35% rating he is a Democrat. My rep (Raul Ruiz-D) has a 20% rating. And why wouldn’t they want a drunken lout who goes along instead of a serious legislator.
Thank You For Posting That Information For Us

I agree. I think if they can get rid of Boner and the rest of the current “leadership”we will find quite a few good people in Congress willing to do the right things.
Talk is cheap. Let’s see some action. Sorry to be a downer, but we have seen these guys champion conservative issues over and over, then wilt once the heat is on. No credit until credit is earned.
