Not if you’re one of the many FReeper handles run by liberal trolls. They never learn a thing here.

Unions could still form, just not government unions. Government is too powerful to be allowed to unionize. The history of government unions is very destructive. Look at Illinois. Our constitution was changed to protect excessive and abusive government union pensions. The harm and abuse are real and proven. No government unions ever.

What about the post office that doesn’t use taxpayer funds?

Abolish unions
Fire drones
Cancel pensions
Hire Temps
Implement accountability

It wouldn’t be anywhere near as incompetent, corrupt and outrageously wasteful as it is now.

OK, but only as soon as you break the Post Office’s government imposed monopoly on first class mail. Look what removing the restrictions on package delivery has done for Americans.

“.........While Walker could enact some of the proposals via presidential executive order, others would require an act of Congress or changes in federal regulations. The goal, Walker said, is “to achieve fairness and opportunity for American workers.”

“This will not be easy,” Walker said in a statement to The Associated Press. “Many — including the union bosses and the politicians they puppet — have long benefited from Washington rules that put the needs of special interests before needs of middle-class families.”

Regress? HA. We have been regressing into totalitarianism and complete control for 100 years. Our “Natural Rights from God” don’t hardly exist in this country anymore....we need permission from bureaucrats to do absolutely everything and all our Bill of Rights are now being trashed.

Freedom takes a virtuous people and that is taught and habituated in children by virtuous adults. We have to return to TRUE FREEDOM-—where we teach virtue and ALL JUST LAW promotes public virtue.

Then, employers and capitalism would work-—if people are virtuous.

As Solzhenitsyn stated—even a little bit of socialism ROTS THE SOUL-—it normalizes vice in people and sets up bureaucracies where some people have power over others which will ALWAYS CORRUPT PEOPLE.

It is the SAME story over and over. ALL EVIL PEOPLE are EVIL. It doesn’t matter the “system”——except only SOME systems promote FREEDOM and VIRTUE——and it is NEVER socialistic systems.

Nobody has a “right” to job.

That's not what it means.

I hope Walker gets the chance to make his case for dealing with public worker unions. Tho with the Trump show dominating all and eleven people (plus the questioners) he may have to lay out his plans to deal with unions no matter what he gets asked.

They should have moved Christie, Paul and Kasich to the early debate.

This is Trump’s Achilles’ Heel. Trump’s pro-union. He won’t like this idea, I’m betting.

Secretary of Labor.

Seems President Walker would more likely want to eliminate it.

"The United States Department of Labor (DOL) is a cabinet-level department of the U.S. federal government responsible for occupational safety, wage and hour standards, unemployment insurance benefits, reemployment services, and some economic statistics; many U.S. states also have such departments. The department is headed by the U.S. Secretary of Labor. The purpose of the Department of Labor is to foster, promote, and develop the welfare of the wage earners, job seekers, and retirees of the United States; improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights.

In carrying out this mission, the Department of Labor administers and enforces more than 180 federal laws and thousands of federal regulations. These mandates and the regulations that implement them cover many workplace activities for about 10 million employers and 125 million workers."

“Lee Adler, a labor law expert at Cornell University, said Walker’s proposals would eliminate workers’ rights and make it more difficult for people to join the middle class.”

Sorry Lee, you need to take that up with the Fed Guv. They are actively destroying the middle class through their policies as we speak.

How would we know?

Trump says one thing one day, another thing another day and then denies that he said either on another day.

Secretary of Labor.

As my first action as Secretary of Labor:

All department "employees" are hereby terminated, all pensions are cancelled...I'm fired.

It’s possible that it has escaped you that George Will has been critical of Scott Walker.

And “George Will’s wife” (as you like to call her) has worked for people other than Scott Walker and Rick Perry, like Michelle Bachmann.
