Retired Four-Star Admiral James “Ace” Lyons, one of the guests on “Lou Dobbs Tonight” this past Wednesday evening, suggests the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11 was the result of a bungled abduction attempt. Admiral Lyons, whose career in the United States (U.S.) Navy was capped by two years of service as the Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet from 1985 to 1987, thinks this kidnapping was planned to be the first stage of an international prisoner exchange. This transfer of prisoners would have ensured the release of Omar Abdel Rahman, the “Blind Sheik” convicted of orchestrating the World Trade Center Bombing in 1993. Lyons' analysis of the evidence led him to the failed kidnapping conclusion. Admiral James Lyons suggests the Obama administration intentionally lessened the levels of security at the consulate compound in Benghazi in the weeks leading up to the attack. This plan should have worked to reduce the possibility of resistance as the Ansar al-Sharia terrorist organization captured Chris Stevens, the American Ambassador to Libya.

For context, here's my previous comment I posted on FR re this matter- When the Clintons are involved, just follow the money. Trey Gowdy should get Sid Blumenthal on record. For example, as some of us conspiratorial types think, was there an attempt to set up Ambassador Stevens as a live hostage to provide reasonable excuse to negotiate the Blind Sheikh’s release. If the Benghazi episode was a fake kidnap setup it would blow up Hillary. Such scenario is what the lower-ranking military guys were thinking according to the open blog comments made within a short time thereafter. It’s just a theory, but makes sense. Quo Bono? Clinton Foundation’s major Middle East donors and Mdme. Huma’s Muslim Brotherhood friends. Very wealthy people wanted this to happen for their own purposes, and if there in fact was Clinton involvement in such a deal with the Brotherhood, then Blumenthal was involved as the trusted intermediary and the Clintons would be the beneficiaries.
And Hillary and Obama were part of the team.
However; they did not count on the Seals showed up and kicked some muslim butt.

I didn’t question the veracity of it.
Ive been saying this for YEARS and now they realize it..I knew this the moment that Benghazi happened that it was a botched Blind Sheikh for Stevens swap. Weeks earlier there had been rumors about the Bling Sheikh being released and the State Dept never actually denied the rumors, just kind of half a@@ed denied it..so I knew..then when Benghazi happened I knew that is what went down they were just not expecting the other three guys to show up otherwise the plan would have gone off without a hitch, and for those who don’t think this is plausible, this is the same Obama Administration who traded FIVE terrorist scum bags for ONE traitor
The idea was to trade Stevens for the Blind Sheik to help the “Arab Spring” Moslem Brotherhood. But, they killed the ambassidor and wrecked the whole thing.
Someone might have gotten the idea to grab him also for such a purpose. Maybe as the guy who knew most about the weapon smuggling someone arranged it so he was supposed to be kidnapped and then tragically die while arrangements were made for his release. Whatever the reason was, if it ever was intended to be anything but his execution, it was secondary to the weapon issues.

Horse****, that idea was kicked around then and wasn't bought then either. The plan all along was to get weapons to the Muslim Brotherhood. Its not coincidental that the Al Queda guys who grabbed it were later waylaid in Egypt. Remember, about the same time it came out that we were washing weapons manifests in Turkey bound to Syria?

Or..........this could be an already-dissipated gust of hot air being brought out as a misdirection, a diversion.
We may or may not find out what HRCs’ motivations were in acting how she did: Both before, during, and after Benghazi.
But her crime lies in the treatment of the emails; whether she was running guns over there, whether she was funding and or arming some delightful little scourge of a terror group; on her bosses orders, or on her own, or whether her motives were pure as the driven snow and her temperament like Julie Andrews in “The Sound of Music” the discussion of what her motives were and how crap went really, really wrong, is entirely a distraction from the issue of her treatment of the emails. Period, the facts in Libya, anyone can have half a dozen impressions of what transpired. But all that will complicate and bifurcate into the standard “cloud” of consipracy theory versus national security versus helping our allies, versus working with the opposition and blah blah blah.
The flat out fact of the matter is, she violated the Espionage Act multiple times. And it does not matter if she was selling bananas: If she allowed these multiple egregious security breaches on what she absolutely knew had to be and to include classified communications. If she waylaid that information and passed it on, she guilty of black-letter-law
violation of the espionage act. The details of what happened to when and who died and where it happened and when she got the phone call are completely irrelevant. But they will be recited endlessly and used to make Hillary look extremely important.
