We just got hubby’s private insurance increase for January. It’s going up 29% or $263 more per month. For both of us our total insurance costs per month will be just over $1600 per month. I’ve noticed for our income level our private insurance costs keep tracking right with the Obamacare costs. I can go to CoverecCa.com and check.
Totally ridiculous.

Yup.

Private health insurers are slowly being squeezed out of business.

Medicaid doesn’t have to compete and that’s why its an attractive alternative given that the private health insurance market is closed ten months out of the year.
