Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski files for re-election

ANCHORAGE –

Sen. Lisa Murkowski is running for reelection in 2016 to seek a third full term as Alaska’s senior senator. She made the official announcement at the Williwaw restaurant in downtown Anchorage Friday.

“We’ve got a year in front of us, and I don’t take anything for granted,” Murkowski said.

During the last election, Murkowski lost the Republican primary to Joe Miller, but ultimately succeeded in the general election through a write-in campaign. On Friday, the senator said this time, she’s doing it “the old-fashioned way.”

At least 100 supporters gathered at Williwaw for the announcement.

“She does for Alaska what — collectively — the rest of us don’t have access to, and she can do that in D.C.,” said former Alaska House Speaker Gail Phillips.

Murkowski has already raised about $2.4 million for the campaign, and has a total of nearly $3 million on-hand.

“She’s ready for her strongest effort, and she ought to be,” said Forrest Nabor a professor of political science at the University of Alaska Anchorage. “I think she’s going to be in for a dogfight no matter how things shake out.”

Perhaps a Conservative (hopefully a member of VRWC) will emerge and wipe up the floor with this hag.

Chuck Schumer recently said he was sure the Democrats would retake the Senate. I can’t imagine how anybody would be able to tell if they did.

Conservatives have a war on two fronts: communists and pussies. How did it come to this?

She’s one of the symbols of GOPe power. She got primaried, refused to accept the result, and the GOPe poured in money and resources to support Murkowski and defeat the conservative candidate, even when he had the GOP brand via an honest election. We’ll see the same writ large with Trump.

We Washingtonians have Senators dumb and dumber in Cantwell and Murray, but I’d rather be a conservative lost in Lala Land then a Republican in Alaska or Kentucky voting for turncoat crooks like Murkowski and McConnell.

She got primaried out once already, the RINOs stormed to her defence, colluded with the libs and did a “successful” (read fraudulent) write in campaign.
And that’s how MooKowski stayed in her seat post primary loss.

“Palin?”

Yes, this would be again for Conservatives and a loss for the rino/democrat uniparty.
