UnitedHealth's Warning Shows How Medicaid Is Taking Over Obamacare

In short order, Obamacare is evolving into a Medicaid marketplace. Not only in terms of the design and quality of the narrow-network plans that are being offered, but in the actual carriers that sell those policies.

Obamacare’s costly regulations mean that the mix of people who sign up are tending to be older and sicker. Many young and otherwise healthy individuals continue to be priced out of the exchanges, even after the benefit of federal subsidies are baked into their costs.

Meanwhile, it’s the Medicaid managed care companies that are growing the number of plans they market on the exchanges. They are also offering the best prices. The cheap health plans that they end up selling on the exchanges mirror what they offer in Medicaid – in terms of the skinny doctor networks, the closed drug formularies, as well as the basic design of the austere health coverage.

The Obamacare morphing into Medicaid is what the French system is. The French system that all the Obamacare people worship. Here is the deal though. The universal healthcare in France means that you are 20 to a hospital room and there is one nurse for a whole floor. And btw you need to bring your own sheets for bedding and supplies and food. You get to see your doctor once every 8 months emergency or not.

There is however what is called the "supplemental" which is real insurance. If people buy that then they get better healthcare. There are different levels of supplementals and some are really good because they act as real insurance. You can see your doctor any time, treatment right away etc.

I think that is where American healthcare is going. Medicaid for all and supplemental exclusive care for some. What a mess.

We all knew the plan from the start, it was totally predicted by pretty much everyone. Even leftists were supporting it because it was designed to fail and create single payer.
