I know his supporters think that he will magically draw support of Republicans, Democrats and Independents and win against Hillary. This is someone who can’t even get more than 10% of Republicans now.
In a general election he will be attacked on his citizenship, on the fact that he shut down the government, on his father’s odd religious views and the fact that his colleagues called him a jackass.
Perception matters, true or not. We’ve seen what the media is doing to Trump, what do you think they will do to Cruz?
They've tried...and they haven't touched him.
The media got burned in every skirmish with Cruz, so they're avoiding him whenever possible.
But, if he's the nominee, they have to cover him. And he'll make mincemeat of them -- winning votes with each confrontation.
When the media attacks Cruz, Cruz wins.
