House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy expects the bill to pass, due to bipartisan support... [currently] the program has allowed 20 million people from 38 countries to visit the U.S. The bill being voted on in the House will end visa-free visits from people who have been in Syria, Iraq, Iran or Sudan in the past five years. Other nations could also be added. But, the measure will require self-reporting, which causes some to be skeptical, as a terrorist is unlikely to be truthful. Some also say the bill doesn't go far enough. In the recent Paris attacks, some of the terrorists had French and Belgian passports. Both countries participate in the visa waiver program. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Republican Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ)<'b> are calling for a tougher stance. They have proposed legislation which would require all visitors traveling to the U.S. for the first time, to undergo biometric fingerprint and photograph screening.Notice Feinstein is listed as "Sen." and Flake is "Republican Sen."? Partisan Media Shill warning.
Not that familiar with the process. I know some countries have special arrangements with the US for entry from their country, such as Saudi Arabia.
This does nothing. In addition, Obama lied. The Pakistani terrorist did not have a visa waiver, she got in on a “fiancé visa” because her terrorist Pakistani -descent husband was a US citizen.
And she gave a non-existent address as her place of residence, showing you how much good a visa does.
