I doubt 10% of Americans are Christians. If you poll and ask for belief in things clearly taught in the Bible, you won’t get numbers like 70-80% “Christian”...
Sadly, you are most likely correct.
We have plenty of nominal "Christians" in America. Ask them two or three questions, and you realize they are not Christian at all.
1. Is Jesus the only way to heaven?
2. Is the Bible 100% true and the inspired Word of God?
3. Do you believe in the Virgin Birth and the Resurrection?
You won't get 80% of American "Christians" to answer those accurately - and you most likely won't get 8% either.
Matthew 7: 13-14
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
A guy a work with claims to be Christian, then he vehimently defended his opinion that Thanksgiving had nothing to do with God, it was all about family and friends and being thankful for them.
After I stared at him like an alien for a few seconds, I just asked him to look it up. To his credit, he did.
Yet why the packed churches on Christmas and Easter ?
Not on FR; anyway!
LOL!
