No, Trump isn’t wrong. They were genuine tears - tears of joy that he is finally starting to dismantle the 2nd Amendment.
You really are uniformed, aren’t you? Trump wasn’t talking about Ted Cruz - everyone, including Trump knows Ted isn’t from Cuba - he was referring to his dad’s weird religious beliefs.

I think Trump is right that Obama was sincerely moved at the time but Trump is wrong to believe Obama “means well”
Obama like all leftists “sincerely” believe that the gun violence in this country is a direct result of the 2nd Amendment so yes, they do become emotional when hearing about massacres with guns. Their emotions though stem from the warped idea that it’s a gun (or an Amendment) that does the killing and so more killing via guns makes them (mistakenly) believe it’s a sad tragedy because we have guns in this country. In other words they cry thinking about all those guns that should be confiscated but aren’t because of the “eevil republicans” or “eevil NRA”. That’s why they are crying. That’s why Obama was crying.
So the tears are real but born from a twisted concept of reality. Just because an emotion is real doesn’t make it justified.
Trump is thus right to say Obama was “sincere” but wrong to say he “meant well”. Obama doesn’t mean well for the precise reason his tears were genuine. He wants to get rid of all guns and the 2nd Amendment. That’s not someone who “means well”.
When obams’ intentions are factored in.. he never means well.

The mentally challenged like Obozo should be denied armed bodyguards lest they be tempted to order their bodyguards to perpetrate mass slaughter. I mean, if one is depressed enough to weep copious tears in public like Obozo or Bonehead, Obozo would deny one the 2nd Amendment RTKBA, why should such a one be able to be Commander in Chief and wield the Secret, Service, FBI and our entire military? If we could save just ONE life......
Back in 1986, I was working on supermarket reclamations. The man I was working for called me into his office one night. He told me we only had $10,000 to do each market and that was almost spent on the first one but we weren’t quite finished. He started to cry and said he was worried.
A few days later, a few men from the parent company were down here in Pennsylvania from Salt Lake City for a meeting on the project. We reviewed the job and then the man said to my boss, ‘Ed, I told you this work was cost plus and I didn’t care what it costs, but I want it done on time’. I realized then that his tears were because he was trying to make us work faster to make a good impression.
I think Obama’s tears were for the same reason...that he wanted to get his ideas past, and he didn’t think he was quite selling it to the people. That’s the way I feel.
