If cars were BANNED, there would be NO car deaths.
Point being, it is absurd.
Guns are a recreational piece of gear that are VERY VERY statistically small in number, used to commit mass murders.
my mother’s neighbor, Greta, slipped in the tub and hit her head and died. Bleeding on the brain. She was 80 but Strong. It happens much more than one would think.
Several poor people I know have type 2 diabetes from years of taking in lots and lots of sugar. hate to see them suffer.
lots of people with lung cancer from smoking have died. Took my DEAR TO ME uncles Ralph and Sonny.
And PLANE CRASHES!! doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s usually a sure bet everyone on board dies.
What are we to do....?

You have a point where causes of non natural deaths can be categorized and it’s not done.
I crashed a plane and survived (PIC), on takeoff, never committed.

i’m 47, shot my first guns a few months ago, i’m ashamed to say, and it was GREAT!
M4, SCAR and Glock.
M4 was incredible.
But after shooting it, I wonder how ANYBODY left a battlefield with hundreds of men having these and AKs.
One soldier told me in the heat of battle, a lot of shots are errant, it is not constant shooting, at least among the professional soldiers, they try to get cover behind safe quarters, and a few other things I forgot.
I know that once I got jumped by three guys. Got pummeled and lost ALL my courage. Just wanted to get away.
Same when a guy attacked my cab with a baseball bat.
Was ashamed of how I acted in both cases later on.
Have held my own in a number of one on one fist fights, but when the threat of severe damage or death was there, I folded twice.
took boxing to defend myself and it helped in some one on ones.
but I fear I might have folded and run in a military engagement.
GEEZ, our soldiers are TOUGH and DISCIPLINED and GOOD

I enjoy your posts.
I would have done the same in the situations you describe. I’m now getting to the age where I will require a gun as an equalizer. Therefore I will do my duty and become well regulated (armed and trained). I don’t look at the second as a right, but as a responsibility and one I have been mostly ignoring.
The news outlets initially referred to her as Representative Gabrielle Giffords then switched to simply "Gabby" in a day or so. Creepy orchestrated psy-ops.
