Donald Trump and the Mainstream Media are foaming at the mouth over the comment Senator Ted Cruz made about New York values.
Now, all of us folks who are not New York City liberals know exactly what Senator Cruz was talking about -- and it had nothing to do with the aftermath of 9-11.
Senator Cruz was talking about cultural and political values.
Duck Dynasty values versus Bill de Blasio values.
He was referring to the permissive New York values celebrating public debauchery that would make the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah blush. Just ask the families from the Heartland who’ve been accosted by topless women in Times Square.

I think you get it. Trump does too, but he’s too busy running a con to admit it.
Because they can use it. Which tells you more about NY progressives than it does NY.
To a New Yorker (meaning a New York City resident) insulting NYC (and there are many ways to do this) is akin to a Catholic hearing the Pope (though, maybe not the current Commie Pope) insulted.

Cruz never defined NY values, so you make it up in your own mind.
At least you know where Trump's money is coming from. With other candidates, you have to wait around until they eventually disclose it.
Hey, if Ted doesn’t like NYers, he can:
1. Go back to Canada, land of his birth.
2. Ask his wife to give up her lucrative Goldman Sachs job, which funnels NY money to her.
But when Trump called Iowans stupid, that was okay. I see.
Because liberals are stupid and ignorant.
It makes no sense.
They should be saying damn right we don’t share Cruz’s values.
They make a cover of their newspaper that shows Lady Liberty flipping the bird. This after headlining how Prayers are worthless.
And anyone has to wonder what New York values are, vs heartland values.
Why do they feel so insulted that someone they despise says he has different values from them?
It is bizarre.
It’s typical liberal PC totalitarianism that 1) no one is supposed to have different values from them and 2) no one is supposed to point out that their liberal values are not universal.
Manhattan liberals having a breakdown because Ted Cruz doesn’t like their values. Poor babies.
Say the names of the present and previous NY mayor.
That says it all about NY values.
And, as for Trump saying Iowans were stupid, that was okay? I don’t recall all of the regionalist whining then. And New York values are liberal, are they not? Is the mayor not a socialist? Is New York not the state that elected Hillary?
Not just liberals who are foaming at the moth.
Trumpsters also are upset. Not because Ted was correct; but because it verbally kicked Donald in the butt.

I think Ted missed an opportunity. The 9/11 reaction was 100% AMERICAN, decidedly NOT the general New York response. Not to mention that the response was supervised by a GOP mayor AND governor—almost as rare in that city and state as a Bill Buckley.

Right. But even some of our FReepers act like they cannot understand this point. Who New Yorkers elect tell us they have different values than most of the USA.
I grew up in the Tri-State Area.
I came back as an adult, and worked in the Tri-State Area.
Later, I moved to Portland, Oregon and then New Orleans, Louisiana.
Compared to NYC, both of the other mentioned towns, are just plain **cked.
I remain in Louisiana, for one person.
I have never espoused the liberal mind meld, and am a Nativist, and will vote for Trump, the man that takes no money from donors.
