At a commercial break in the Demonrat debate, You Tube showed a little speech by Hillary where she began talking about opioid addiction and the drug problem.
She called for federal money for programs and said police need to always have an antidote for opioid overdose with them at all times m
She ended this short NBC produced spiel by saying drug use needs to cease being a criminal issue and be put where it belongs, as a health issue.
Because banning drugs didn’t work but banning guns will.
How about cutting off the supply ? Heroin is addictive after one use, it will never stop unless you build a wall.
She’s tried a lot of them so she knows best ...
BTW, 80% of the drug war can easily be solved simply by securing the borders.

“Cut off the supply” was the point of the War On Drugs.
Problem is, one can grow plants or mix chemicals at home, just as one can mill blocks of steel and make guns in a basement. Heck, people (customers!) have been caught making meth in Wal-Mart.

If you have a social welfare state, then a lot of people will feel no compulsion to get their lives in order and be productive. Government will spend a lot of money taking care of people who need help. This is a comment on Human Nature and has nothing to do with drugs. LBJ's great society is an aspect of this, and is not tied to drug use.
If you legalize drugs, then a lot of people will find themselves with no compulsion to get their lives in order and be productive. Government will spend a lot of money taking care of people who need help.
If you combine these two things, then things get real bad real fast.
As far as I'm concerned, if you end Social Welfare first and force people to be responsible, then go ahead and legalize the drugs. At that point, people will either die or figure out how to control themselves.

What does that mean? Was this youtube video actually shown during the debate on the NBC TV channel, spliced by NBC into the NBC debate youtube video, or something else?
Does it make sense that the marxist commies would want to ban guns before legalizing drugs?
In their crackpot minds it makes logical sense.
Because stopping drugs at the border is not desirable.
