The fight heats up
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz returned fire on establishment Republicans Thursday, including former Kansas Sen. Bob Dole, who suggested that Cruz would fare worse in a general election than Donald Trump.
Speaking to reporters following a campaign stop in New Hampshire, Cruz said Dole, among others, were looking to continue the "cronyism" and "corruption" of Washington. "If you think of the last time we beat the Washington cartel it was 1980, it was the Reagan revolution, where millions of Americans rose up," Cruz said. "And I would note that Mr. Dole then opposed Reagan, and said we need someone who can go to Washington who can cut a deal. Well the American people understood that's not what we needed." ...

Two weeks is a very long time. Cruz will keep hitting on the corruption angle and tie Trump to it. Trump gift-wrapped an easy to understand issue on Trump’s pandering to Big Corn.
The GOPe want Trump because Ted Cruz truly threatens their hold on power. Plus, they know that if Donald Trump gets in he will try to buy these very same politicians off with YOUR MONEY.

The Republican circular firing squad is getting deadly. As a Cruz supporter, I’ll support Trump if he gets the nomination. If Trump moves left, we can fight him after he is elected, but the Democrats are offering nightmares from which we won’t awake. I hope Trump’s supporters feel the same about Cruz.

So all veterans who served in the Senate cannot be criticized? I guess that means we need to leave John Kerry alone, too?
If hypocrisy didn’t exist the Trump cult would invent it.
Trump is not from Washington. Ted is at the moment.
At the end of the day, that may have hurt him more than any of us thought it would.
I can’t say that for sure, but it is possible that folks have been simmering so long over it, they are just refusing to consider a current politician from W., D. C.
I can’t know that now. None of us do. If Ted gets thrashed, and I don’t know that he will, that concept may be closer to the truth than we thought.
If Trump wins, I win
If Cruz wins, I win
If Hillary wins, we all lose.
