Is Trump a McConnell-Rove-Dole Establishment Tool?

the answer is yes.

I can give you 3 reason why, that happened just this week.

1) He supports the Ethanol subsidies, thereby supporting big government.

2) Cruz called out McConnell for lying, which McConnell did.
Trump sided with McConnell, saying he had to make deals with Congress, just like the Establishment wants him to do.

3) He said “Cruz would be worse than Hillary”, proving that he thinks higher of Bengazi-email-scandal-ridden-big-government Hillary Clinton than he does Ted Cruz.

Trump is becoming a louder version of Lindsay Graham-John McCain right before our very eyes.

It only took a week.

If hypocrisy didn’t exist the Trump cult would invent it.

Your State called, they said to stop making them look like idiots, they want their name back.

“If Trump moves left, we can fight him after he is elected . . .”

Conventional thinking. Consider, if Trump wins he can deal with all those with New York and San Francisco values -and that is almost all the dims in congress. Plus most of the Rino’s in congress will support Trump because . . . because they need a unified front too keep the goodies flowing to their silk stocking, country club, Rockefeller-wing cronies. That will leave a shadow group of conservatives to fight.

If Hilary is elected, most of the Republicans will oppose her - probably not effectively - but will offer some nominal opposition in an attempt to make themselves appear relevant.

Either way, if it comes down to Trump or what he calls that great secretary of state, conservatives are going to be living deep behind enemy lines.

I think the reason the polls are breaking in Iowa is because Trump, despite whatever faults I assign him, has a dynamic personality, he draws crowds, he's exciting to listen to.

But I hear ya, Cruz just being a Senator, does make him identified as a Washington insider to many Americans.

So?

If these dopes want to get behind Trump, after they trashed him for months, they are free to do so.

Is Trump supposed to forbid them? They want to be his b*itch after he has owned them for the past 6 months.

This time it isn’t everyone else having to get behind the GOPe sacrifice.

As much as you guys want to run the line that this somehow shows him as beholden to them, if these guys got behind Cruz, you would be crowing about how the GOPe was finally seeing the light and surrendering, and Cruz would not refuse them.

And whether fairly or not too.

I have problems with Ted. I don’t see him like you folks do. Let’s agree where we can.

I appreciate your return note.

Trump is exciting to listen to. It’s like crawling out of the desert to a can of ten year old beer. It would be the best beer you ever had. LOL

We’ve had a dry spell.

EXCELLENT post with some great examples.
Oh that some of our Freepers would let that sink in before they hit that ballot box.
Once that vote is cast, there will only be remorse and anquish... no turning back.

“Always a good idea to prove corruption if you charge it.”

Are you speaking of proving something at the level of the jury box or the ballot box?

Regardless, tell me how poor Mr. Eric Holder, and Lois Lerner, and Bill Clinton have been wrongly judged. Tell me.

You may be voting in Iowa, but it’s the general public’s view that is important right now, and it is up to them how this breaks. They may not see it like you do.

They may see it far worse than I do. I don’t know.

Criticize a man who served in the Senate longer""""

longer than (fill in the blank)for whatever your pushing.

The "served longer" is exactly what's wrong with Washington..... serving longest does not entitle one to Deity status.

Based on history your premise is not credible.

Dole was the tax collector for the welfare state. His service in WWII was and is respected. His service in Washington was abysmal and this retired Vichy (R) there his two cents out there and Cruz rightly responded. If telling the truth upsets you then you need to support Jeb and your beloved Party because they run from the truth like Dracula from a cross.

“What does Cruz gain by picking on an old guy he never served in the US Senate with and hasn’t done anything to derail Cruz?”

Dole IS the Establishment.

The primaries have come down to who is the more assured anti-establishmentarian.

Dole’s hatred is the PERFECT foil by which Cruz can define his position.
