Weatherproof/animal-proof cameras are very common. Just look at any Walmart store roof for example. So why disguise them?

Read through the thread. Those cameras are there to meet FERC/NERC security requirements for the grid.

No amount of incoherence, ignorance, or paranoia will change that fact.

A few of their concealment techniques:

- Put it high up on a pole
- Include a red indicator light
- Put the word “NOTICE” on the side, along with an icon of radio transmission
- Put the word “SCADA” on the side ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCADA )
- Put an IP address on the side

Allen Funt would have gone out of business if he practiced these concealment techniques.
