Gowdy Says 'Significant Breakthroughs' Were Made in Benghazi Probe After Susan Rice Testimony

Rep. Trey Gowdy's Benghazi committee appears to have had a very productive meeting with national security adviser Susan Rice this week. Following her testimony Wednesday, the chairman said they have made "enormous progress" in their investigation.

No one is soon to forget how Rice went on several talk shows in 2012 repeating the lie that the Benghazi terror attack was the result of an offensive YouTube video. Congressional Republicans were so frustrated with her repeating the same false talking points that they asked for her resignation.

Now, she was finally called before the Benghazi Select Committee, and from what it sounds like, she was cooperative. The panel interrogated her, along with deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes. Gowdy said that these testimonies and access to crucial new national security records have nudged the committee closer to finding answers.

"While there are still witnesses to talk to and documents to review, these significant breakthroughs are big wins that will help the committee complete the most comprehensive investigation into what happened before, during and after the Benghazi terrorist attacks, and release a report as soon as possible," he said.

Someone didn't do their job on the night of September 11, 2012. Security contractors on duty that night in Benghazi claim the CIA's delayed orders contributed to the deaths of four Americans. The soldiers were ready to go protect the U.S. consulate following the first gunshots, but they say they were told to "stand down."

Democrats may claim the Benghazi committee is wasting tax dollars on a biased witch hunt, but even the security contractors who were on the ground in the dangerous region defend the panel. After all, "it's the only committee that's actually talked to everybody."

Trey Gowdy "says". Yes, unfortunately "talk" is the only thing that Gowdy ever does. I wish I had more hope and belief in results from this Benghazi committee, but based upon past results, there is no reason to believe in action.

Gowdy seems to be a big part in the Kabuki Theatre of the gOpE. Endorsing Rubio is a big sign of this.

Gowdy successfully ran interference for Hillary and the Uniparty Establishment all the while he was running his mouth as he “conducted” the Benghazi hearings.

Without Gowdy Hillary would still be 40 points up in the polls. Of course, if one had to choose between Bernie and Hillary - arrggg.

Gowdy talks a great game. But it’s starting to get annoying. Either something more than talking is being done or it’s not.

Gowdy is pathetic. He does nothing. He’s a big part of the problem.

Proof positive. Lost my vote and support, regardless how the decade-long Benghazi hearings turn out.

Come on home now, Trey, and begin to settle in your new law practice or something. I'll call you when I need a stalling lawyer.

Will Trey still be investigating come Nov or will he share his findings with the voters?

Big breakthroughs on what? Scheduling more hearings?

What is the point of these congressional investigations? They talk talk talk, but the only thing that seems to come of it all is that it gives the Democrats something to point to afterwards and say: “See - it’s all a partisan witch hunt - we answered all their questions for 13 hours and it’s still not enough!”

Obama will give Gowdy the same rewards he gave
Issa to coverup corruption ENDLESSLY despite
the lies the GOP gave the public before becoming
complicit to TREASON and CORRUPTION.

Gowdy Says 'Significant Breakthroughs' Were Made in Benghazi Probe After Susan Rice Testimony

Until about 3 or 4 months ago when he apparently was "given an offer he couldn't refuse" by the Clinton Crime Syndicate and 0bama Street Thugs, I respected Gowdy.

Now, I suspect he is trying to run out the clock and whitewash the disgraceful incident. All he does is talk.

Washington, February 20, 2021

In a press conference today Former UN Ambassador Susan Rice replied to questions that she was lied to prior to going on TV five times to perpetuate the false information regarding video induced riots in Libya that resulted in the death of an ambassador and several others.

The Benghazi hearings achieved nothing but face time for Gowdy. He has lost all respect with his endorsement of little Marco and cozying up to Haley, destroyer of Southern heritage. Shameful. He and Haley are exposed for the GOPe they are- part of the problem.

Charismatic? Yes.

But almost no one in DC has disappointed me more than Trey Gowdy.

I once held high hopes for Gowdy.

He’s been a genuine disappointment.

I'm beginning to think that Gowdy is Issa in drag. Have you ever seen the two of them in the same place at the same time?

This all shows up one of the great problems with DC: the total inability to get things done.

Trey, call me when you ask Obozp to testify as to what the heck he was doing that night.

Or whom.
