An exuberant Sen. Marco Rubio declared his strong finish in the South Carolina primary Saturday signaled the GOP presidential contest had become "a three-person race," and that as a child "of the Reagan Revolution," he was "ready to assume the mantle of leadership." "Those of us who grew up when Ronald Reagan was in the White House are ready to do for the next generation what Ronald Reagan did for ours," the Florida lawmaker said.

"The children of the Reagan Revolution are ready to assume the mantle of leadership."

Rubio also hailed crucial supporters, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott, recalling the governor's background as the daughter of immigrants from India, and the African American GOP senator as the son of a single mother -- and hailing them as "21st century conservatives.

I thought Rubio was Cuban.

I’ll agree with Rubio that he is a child compared to Donald Trump. Try again in about 8 years.

Is Rubio announcing his own irrelevance?

“The children of the Reagan Revolution are ready to assume the mantle of leadership.”

Translation: As the anchor baby child of two Cuban citizens, I am ready to step in and assert rulership over you. You must submit, and any protest will only be because you are racist.

I think Rubio is a distant cousin or step-child thrice removed of the Reagan Revolution.

Telling the Reagan voters to follow you is not quite the same as when they actually follow you. Should someone tell him that, or let him find out later?

I’ll refrain from mocking Rubio too much. With Jeb out of the race, it’s probably a good idea to take him seriously. He’s a very happy man this morning.

I just saw a guy on who voted for Cruz

He said Nikki Haley's endorsement clinched the deal Cruz over Rubio.

Haley does not have an 80% approval rating in South Carolina. Marco got a total of ZERO Delegates

Marco Rubio Born: May 28, 1971 (age 44), Miami, FL

That's bit of a stretch there Marco....

You were still a teenager when Reagan LEFT office...

Certainly he grow up and lived in a great time but really doesn't understand what it was like to live under a Carter administration...

He was in diapers...

You are aware that Cruz finished 3rd, right? And who do you think will benefit the most from Jeb's exit? Not Cruz. It would be the guy who bested Cruz yesterday, Marco Rubio.

At this point, Cruz staying in the race will only serve as a spoiler for Trump, opening up the middle for Rubio.

You start and keep beating that drum Trumie
and you will find the conservative base sitting it out again.

Don’t say you weren’t warned . Just because your pick is leading in the race gives you no authority to tell others who they should support.

It’s trumps fault as much as anyone Rube is where he is. He’s spent 3 months trashing Cruz while Rube was consolidating the RINO lane.

Enjoy the circus now .

It’s bogus, meaningless sloganeering like this that voters are sick of.

Some Rubio consultants dreamed up a “reason” voters should prefer a guy in his 40’s to a guy in his 70’s. They can’t have Marco just assert that being 45 or so makes him more qualified than Trump. So they dreamed up a code for “I’m younger.”

And they dug up Reagan once again.

No normal human talks like this. It’s precisely what makes Marco sound so programmed and phony.

Rubio is the classic, slick RINO BS artist who will say anything to get a vote and after he gets it, he promptly sticks a knife in you. His history speaks volumes. We all pretty much got snookered once when he took on the Tea Party banner, that is enough. Heed the definition of acting like an insane individual.

Now it’s our job to finish off Rubio. Get the word out about the real Rubio. This is your ‘establishment’, amnesty, free traitor candidate, handpicked for the job by DC/GOP insider LOBBYISTS.

Cesar Conda - Marco Rubio’s chief of staff worked for George Soros

[snip]I think Cesar is the right man for the job,” said Frank Sharry, founder and executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. “Rubio is really lucky to have Cesar Conda as his chief of staff.” Conda, known among colleagues for his even temper, has been working on the issue since the early 1990s when he was part of a group of young, libertarian-minded, pro-immigration conservatives.(including Grover Norquist!)
