Michigan Moves to Make Sodomy a Felony – Possibility of Life in Prison
Freedom Outpost ^ | 2/19/2016 | Staff

While I have stood fast in my call to those who engage in sodomy to repentance rather than face either God's justice or man's justice against them under God (Romans 13:1-5), we are now beginning to see several people step up in various states and are pushing the people to recognize the natural moral, and even written, law of God against those who engage in sodomy.

The Michigan State Senate recently cleared a bill, SB 0219, that will move on to the House, which would once again recognize sodomy as a crime.

The bill is addressing animal cruelty. However, there is a provision in the bill that would re-criminalize sodomy as a felony and incarcerate those who engage in sodomy in prison for a maximum sentence of life.

A person who commits the abominable and detestable crime against nature either with mankind or with any animal is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 15 years, or if the defendant was a sexually delinquent person at the time, a felony punishable by imprisonment for an indeterminate term, the minimum of which shall be 1 day and the maximum of which shall be life.

Rick Jones sponsored the bill, but also obtained the co-sponsorship of Steven M. Bieda, David Knezek, Jack Brandenburg, Tory Rocca, Mike Kowall, Marty Knollenberg

While I'm not a fan of the prison system because I don't think it brings justice, I am glad to see that there are still some people willing to take the stand against sodomy. Frankly, I would think the prison system is the last place you would put these people.

Many sodomite publications are already raising their less than 2% voice against it, claiming that Lawrence v. Texas has put the issue to rest.

However, I believe more and more people are being educated on the Constitution and brushfires of freedom are being set in the minds of men, which point them to the only real means of securing liberty and that is God's Law.

In fact, too many Christians today are buying in to the lie that God's Law is somehow binding us, rather than a source of freedom.

Theologian R. J. Rushdoony wrote, "To see God's Law as a limitation on us rather than our empowerment is the beginning of apostasy." Indeed, it is.

Christ came to set men free from sin (Matt. 1:21), and that includes all manner of violations of God's Law, including sodomy.

Interestingly enough, those in Michigan are not alone.

Matt McLaughlin introduced a ballot initiative that would provide for death as a penalty for those engaging in sodomy. He's doing that in California! Talk about being bold as a lion!

Up until the 1960s, every state in our union had anti-sodomy laws. Yet, one by the one, the States, instead of standing firm on the Word of God, began to capitulate to bullies like the ACLU and ultimately to the Supreme Court, which has never been given any authority to rule in the matter at all. Today, there are still just over a dozen states with anti-sodomy laws, including my home State of South Carolina. Sadly, they don't enforce the law.

The push by the ACLU, who are communists, only emphasizes the goals of the Communists, which were entered into the Congressional record.

With the people understanding our history and beginning to understand how the DC government has overstepped its bounds with regard to the Tenth Amendment, I am hopeful that as people repent, we will begin seeing a country that once again will be blessed by God. Until then, all we can look forward to is more of God's judgment upon the land.

The embracing and propagandizing of immoral behavior, whether it is among heterosexuals or sodomites is part of what is leading our country down the road of destruction. And lest you think that engaging in these practices is something to be called "liberty," I'll remind you that the Lord Jesus Christ said, "Jesus answered them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin (John 8:34).'" Submitting yourself to these things does not free you, it enslaves you. This is the reason Christ came and that is to save sinners from their sin, not leave them in it.

Next, Michigan (and all states) should follow up with legislation that sends those who practice Islam to prison....or death.

With the homosexuals and Muslims moving out, Michigan will become an ideal place in which to raise your family.

It is a proven fact that sodomy is a sick perversion.

SC Code 16-15-120
Whoever shall commit the abominable crime of buggery, whether with mankind or with beast, shall, on conviction, be guilty of felony and shall be imprisoned in the Penitentiary for five years or shall pay a fine of not less than five hundred dollars, or both, at the discretion of the court.

Good luck with making sodomy a crime. The Supreme Court has already ruled that there is a Constitutional right to commit sodomy. It’s a battle that has already been lost.

Good luck with making sodomy a crime. The Supreme Court has already ruled that there is a Constitutional right to commit sodomy. It’s a battle that has already been lost. Thankfully.

As wrong as that Supreme Court decision was legally, outlawing "sodomy" is ridiculous. And a place called "Freedom's Outpost" advocating telling a guy and his wife what they can and can't do with each other in their own home is just a sad, pathetic joke.

We should remember that if we're going to give conservative Christians the right to dictate personal morality within the home, then those same mechanisms can be used by other religious groups to do the same in those communities where they may be a majority.

What if you commit sodomy and you are already IN prison? Happens, I’ve heard.

Will the parole board take that into account now?

Life in prison? That’s where sodomy is committed on a daily basis. That’s where a picture of a woman is placed on the bent-over back of the “catcher” so that the “pitcher” can fantasize. I’m a retired correctional officer.

I’m not with this. The rule of man is so inferior to the rule of God. Let God deal with people who sin in this particular manner. Otherwise we have sex police who police people who consent, and that’s just not going to work.

Glad to see Michigan focusing on the important issues. Obviously activity of that nature should be illegal with animals as they cannot consent.

But you wanna regulate sexual activity between consenting adults? Man people are so excited for government to regulate/outlaw stuff when they don’t like it. Amazing really.

And while they are at it, criminalize political sodomites, i.e., Demonicrats.

Indeed , it includes “oral” which is the big reason why “Deep Throat” was so risque/new/exciting ... only a few years before it was illegal in every state..

Tax them. Each new Islamist brought into the US through immigration or birth shall pay a tax equal to the current cost of 5 years of incarceration in a Federal prison.

It was actually a very interesting job. The only officers who had trouble were the ones who let themselves get dirty in some way. Then the inmates and fellow officers lost all respect for them.

Yep. But that much wider definition isn’t the Biblical definition. The Biblical definition is homosexual sex. Period.

God’s wrath is already falling on us, primarily because apparently the majority of Americans now see nothing wrong with what God called abomination, (abhorrent, disgusting). There are consequences for agreeing with the depraved about a behavior and rejecting God’s judgment.

This wasn’t a problem when our nation wasn’t so depraved. Our Founders engineered our laws to conform to God’s commands, for the express purpose of receiving God’s blessings for such obedience. It wasn’t some sort of accident or coincidence that our laws were indistinguishable from His commands. And blessed we were, for the first couple hundred years, becoming a rich and prosperous nation.

Now that prosperity is gone, because we’ve rejected God’s commands in favor of depravity. We’re now $19 trillion in debt, a sum we’ll never be able to repay. That’s also not some sort of accident or coincidence. And people are so depraved they want to keep doing the same things that’s bringing God’s wrath down on us.

The only problem I see is that the sentencing for a sexually delinquent person (from 1 day to life) will be seen as unconstitutionally vague and arbitrary and allowing capricious sentencing.

In concept, I am all for the bill and hope it goes through. I would hope it has no fatal flaws.
