Cruz’s Fundraising Strength: Network of Wealthy Donors
The Texas Tribune ^ | Oct. 26, 2015 | Katie Zezima and Matea Gold

Posted on 02/26/2016 6:41:49 PM PST by gg188

Wealthy investors shot skeet with Sen. Ted Cruz in Park City, Utah, earlier this month. Conservative lawyers gathered in a clubby Washington restaurant last week to raise money for his presidential bid. And on Monday, billionaire technology entrepreneur Darwin Deason and five other wealthy Texans announced that they were coming aboard his campaign.

For all his bashing of “billionaire Republican donors” who “actively despise our base,” the anti-establishment senator from Texas is being bolstered by his own robust base of wealthy contributors.

The Texas Tribune is left-wing, which is what I expect from the most vociferous Trumpets.

from the article: Cruz has had trouble making inroads in New York financial circles or on Florida’s donor-rich Gold Coast. But he is finding support among like-minded constitutionalists, religious conservatives, and oil and gas executives, campaign finance filings and fundraising invitations show..

Good for Cruz, the many thousands of small donors like me bolstered by some big Texas conservative business money.

And, of couse, they are donating only because they love him and not because they expect anything in return.

Cruz “character”:

1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.

2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters “vote for Cruz”

3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video “vote for me” with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a 7 Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.

4. “Brilliant” lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.

5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.

6. Phony video about Rubio - Obama.

7. 7 Mountain Dominionist Church = Christian???

Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?

IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN

(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a “natural born citizen” is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

http://www.thepostemail.com/2009/10/18/4-supreme-court-cases-define-natural-born-citizen/

Applies to Cruz and Rubio, both at the time not born to US citizens and on US soil.

Only the misleading headline and a few sentences were posted. The article mentions that his money is coming from conservative Texan businessmen rather the New Yorkers, This is in addition to the hundreds of thousands of small donors like me.

Some Texans say the Cruz that ran for the Senate is not the Cruz seen on the presidential circuit. Trusting Texans spent time and money on him.....making calls on Cruz/s behalf for the votes that helped him win his Senate office.

Nowadays, these onetime Cruz supporters are airing their gripes. Many are p!ssed at Cruz for not disclosing that as a Senate candidate, he was still a Canadian citizen. It/s not helping Cruz to be called liar at his public appearances. The Carson Iowa fiasco still reverberates followed by the Bible video debacle.

Cruz/s political blunders pile up ... one disaster after another. But there are similarities: Cruz is looking more and more like the late unlamented prez candidate, ex-Texas Gov Rick Perry.....two stealth candidates trusting Texans hardly knew.

At first, Cruz (like Perry) looked good....prez material, even. Then candidate Cruz (like Perry) began admitting things that trusting Texans knew nothing about.

Gov Perry shocked his constituents when he admitted in a presidential debate that he was using trusting Texans tax dollars to give illegals in-state tuition...and that they were heartless b/c they did not like this use of tax dollars. (Perry also installed the country/s first Sharia Court in Texas....active to this day).

Cruz heaped on the surprises:

<><> I didn/t know I was a Canadian citizen when I ran for the Senate until the media exposed it.

<><> I told trusting Texas voters wifey and I were liquidating family assets so I could get into the Senate.

<><> I didn/t know I was supposed to tell the FEC I borrowed over a million from my Wall Street margin accounts to fund my campaign.

<><> I told Mark Levin the borrowed funds were used for campaign ads....but I didn/t report this as required.

<><> And so on and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.

BACKSTORY In Texas, Cruz/s Senate election fairy tale has become legendary......portraying himself to trusting Texans as a scrappy populist putting everything on the line to overcome a wealthy establishment opponent.

He was whining in the media, telling trusting Texans that he, and his faithful little wife (a $700,000 globalist lawyer employed by G/S), were forced to liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

NOW TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin accounts at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from Texans).

Cruz did not disclose loans on FEC reports (required by law) b/c Texans would have discovered he was not the aw-shucks rube he pretended to be. He continued the rube act in order to milk votes from Texans.

At the same time, he also did not disclose he was a Canadian citizen......the Harvard-educated lawyer w/ two Ivy League degrees said he didn/t know.

When the Dallas Morning News published Cruz/s Canadian birth certificate, Cruz put Texans through the charade of renouncing his Canadian citizenship.....even though Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at the time of his birth.

“Good for Cruz, the many thousands of small donors like me bolstered by some big Texas conservative business money.”

What do they want in return for their investment?

I don't know a single Texan who thinks that Cruz has changed. He has maintained the same Constitutional principles his entire life.

I am watching his hour long Hannity interview (sheer bliss) and he just said, "I will be the same man I am now when I am President of the United States." He is a good man.

My favorite one was the one Glenn Beck did (with Ted's approval for sure) of a PHOTOSHOPPED TWEET saying "I voted for Obama in 2012" supposedly from Trump's Twitter account. Actually it was pretty lame, but the idea is that many will believe it, but won't hear the part where it's (easily) debunked.

Ted's motto must be, "A lie will go around the world ten times before the truth can get its pants on."

But after Tuesday we won't have Rafael to kick around anymore. Cruzers should promise to apologize and leave FR permanently when Cruz is buried on Super Tuesday. Just think---no more stupid bs from the Cruzers on FR!

Great post!

cRuz is a charlatan

He’s not conservative . it’s an act.

Trump on the other hand understands that we have to build the wall and tame China or we are done . Does any one else see this?

Cruz did vote for and Help the Corker bill pass which allowed Iran to develop their nuclear program . That’s not conservative. that’s not even American but anti-American to get us nuked all for his own ambition

It is time this charlatan Cruz was exposed for the fraud he is.

He never fooled me into thinking he was conservative.

Would a conservative write an article like this full of lies tying to fool people into accepting the congressional attempt to give the evil communist Obama unlimited power to make trade treaties that would destroy America? Not in a million years. This alone proves Cruz is fake charlatan and a con man, a typical politician. CRuz has worked the last 20 years in government.

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/international/239750-ted-cruz-joins-the-establishment

Establishment, globalist advocates published what will go down as the most disingenuous, deceitful and outright dishonest promotional piece on behalf of the so-called fast-track trade authority that could have been written. Authored by establishment GOP Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and heretofore ‘conservative’ Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), the op-ed in The Wall Street Journal is a compilation of talking points and slick dodges. It is textbook propaganda that would make the disinformation experts of the KGB blush.

After Tuesday this clown will be finished.
