Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump may be the front-runners to win the nomination for their respective parties in the 2016 presidential race, but ESPN Major League Baseball analyst Curt Schilling is not impressed.
The former Red Sox pitcher made a lengthy appearance on Kansas City’s 610 sports radio Tuesday afternoon, and after talking baseball for the first 20 minutes, the conversation shifted to politics, and Schilling did not hold back. He took particular exception to Clinton’s use of a private computer server to send classified information.
“If she’s allowed to get to the general election before she’s in prison, I’ll be stunned and upset, because I think she’s shown her true colors all along the way,” Schilling said of Clinton. “I’ll ask you this: Do you see her being anything even remotely different than what we’ve had?”
After one of the hosts suggested that Clinton was “clearly the most qualified in terms of her resume,” Schilling disagreed.
“I don’t care what her titles are. She’s done nothing. She has done absolutely nothing to further the success of the middle class and the success of this country,” said Schilling. “She jumps on the backs of people who she wants to be dependent on government. Governor Baker said he is “not willing to concede” that the Republican presidential contest is over.
The hosts asked Schilling if he thinks Hillary Clinton will go to prison.
“I hope she does,” said Schilling. “If I’m gonna believe, and I’m not sure I would have any reason not to believe, that she gave classified information on hundreds if not thousands of e-mails on a public server after, and what happened to General Petraeus, she should buried under a jail somewhere.”
“I’m tired of the ‘We’re going to make America great again.’ I get it, but what does that mean?” Schilling said. “If nothing else, Donald Trump has proven to politicians in every corner in the globe that America’s voting block is giving a giant middle finger to the establishment.
“Listen, he hasn’t elaborated, like, on two sentences for a policy. ‘We’re going to build a wall’ and ‘Mexico is going to pay for it.’ Okay, how? ‘Well, I’ll tell you later.’
“There has been no depth to anything he’s said. But, look at the turnout. Look at the response, absolutely staggering to me. The only thing that tells me is people are sick and tired of the status quo, sick and tired of the lying, sick and tired of the manipulating.”
“I’m a registered Independent,” said Schilling. “I’m disgusted and despise both parties.”
Schilling has never shied away from expressing his political opinions. Last summer he was suspended from the network’s telecasts after sending a tweet that compared Muslim extremists with the Nazi regime in Germany. Schilling was reinstated and will serve as an analyst for “ESPN’s Monday Night Baseball” broadcasts.

Poor Curt...he,and presumably other members of his family,have to stay out of Rhode Island in order to avoid being compelled to testify,under oath,in the matter involving the procurement...and disappearance...of $75 million.

I agree. His website has some good detail. He needs to get a lot better at articulating it. The last debate, Trump looked poor on health care talking about the ‘lines around states’. After further research, I love his full plan. I had not idea, because stays so surface level when he speaks.

Schilling was RIGHT in his comparison of Islamofascists to Nazis, and ESPN knows it. That’s why they had to suspend him.
