Give yourself a break and send donations to the Salvation Army. If not them then small local charities you can research and keep track of yourself.
We always support the police and fire charities that call us on the phone at home.
Not really.
We support ministries that we are involved with or personally know. Sometimes we support larger organizations.
Back in 1985, I raised about $800 to do a charity ride for the MS Society. At the end of the ride, I asked the lady in charge how much actually goes to research and patient care. She couldn’t answer. I rode the next year but only raised the minimum of $150. That year, they began publishing their disbursal and it was in the 89% range. 11% for administrative is very good and shows great fiscal management. Over the next 14 years, I raised over $20,000 and had an excuse to ride a few thousand miles.
Sadly it is true.
Bout time they should have been fired when the story first broke. A Retired Military Brass should be running the program who knows what Veterans really need not some civilian who never served a day in their lives.
Now it’s time to take on the RED DOUBLE CROSS for the same things.
Very good. That’s encouraging to hear. Good for you.
