You presume that because Cruz found the relationship between the two “striking,” he meant that one caused the other. That’s nonsense

What Cruz really said, in context, is that Trump would do something which the Brussels attack proves that ISIS believes would be in their best interest: the US leaves NATO.

That is utter horseshit, piled high and deep. I wonder how on Earth there can be so many delusional people on Free Republic, which used to be a beacon of sanity.

"I readily admit that Crafty Cruz is good at spinning language or letting others, like Beck, speak for him so that “he never said that!” can be used to deny intent."

He learned that from Trump.

...Now, I don't think I would say that but that's what I hear others saying but to me?... he seems like a reasonable fellow, but I'm just saying that that's not what others have said...

...Now, I reeeally don't think it's a good idea to be saying nasty things about me, I mean somebody just might take it upon themselves to start a fight or to defend my first amendment rights. Certainly, I wouldn't condone it but there's no telling what my supporters may do. Afterall, they ARE a loyal group of supporters...

Yeah, yeah, I know, we've heard it all before.Right out of the Trump playbook.

This begs the question: why are we enemies with Russia?

Notice I didn’t say “the Soviet Union”, I said Russia.

We butt heads with Russia today because it is a major power, but it is not our ideological enemy like the Soviet Union was.

Russia and the USA have some common enemies that we could work together to contain: Islam and counterbalancing China, for example.

BTW, the best way to limit Russia’s military escapades isn’t with countering military power, it is with FRACKING. Russia’s economy is underpinned by oil. Drive down the price of oil, and Russia doesn’t have the money to support its military adventures. And, the best way to drive down the price of oil is to increase oil supply—specifically by fracking.

NATO today sets up a false dichotomy: the West vs Russia. The West vs the Soviet Union made sense, but the West vs Russia is not inevitable.

DT cannot or will not differentiate between Leftists and their agenda and rightists who are beginning to lose at stopping them. Trump doesn’t even recognize right/leftist wars - as evidenced by his friends and politicians he’s supported - he views every single human interaction as a business transaction. We are trying to defeat The Left and he doesn’t see the opticsof facilitating the Left as an error or problem, like Newt sitting on Pelisi’s lap and inhaling the global warming fumes.

Trumpfolx are happy to trade vague promises of a wall even if they have to team up with the Left indirectly to get it.

Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizens, Cubans, Chihuahua Marko and Pinocchio Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.

Cruz "character":

1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.

2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"

3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a Seven Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.

4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.

5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.

Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?

IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN

(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

You’re the friggin nut, sucking up to a KGB/FSB thug like Putin all of these years, despite the mountain of troubling things known about him. And, like the wuss that you are, you needed to call for “help” from that other little wuss. Both of you are such punks.

I have no idea where Cruz learned it and won’t speculate.

I can see, however, that he’s a master.

I voted for him in Texas. However, “... fool me twice, shame on me.”

Cruz never blamed Trump for that, but Trump did blame Pamela Geller for the Islamic terrorist attack against her.

When you start tolerating supporters of a liberal candidate, liberals will begin infesting your website. It’s really not complicated.

So Cruz is saying that he wants the US to continue to dump our money into propping up NATO even though a) it does nothing to secure the West from radical islam, b) the cost and mission of the alliance is not fully supported by other NATO countries, and c) the mission of the NATO alliance has significantly changed from the Cold War era? Is Cruz a real fiscal conservative or is he just desperate for something to say, no matter how contrary it is to his own platform of fiscal reform? Trump is right on target here. We need to reevaluate our role in the NATO alliance and stop throwing money away on any and all of these countries that are no longer allied with US values.

John, you may need to take a good long look into the mirror. Ted Cruz is a political opportunist who will say anything to get elected. Trump started out with a scant following here; Cruz started out with nearly everyone on his side. But slowly people started to see the cracks in Cruz's facade. 4 out of 5 people here now support Trump because this is a community that watches very closely. There are a few such as yourself who will hang on despite all the factors. I admire your persistence. But, a delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. You need to look in the mirror before calling others “delusional”.

Yes, and the American people have forgotten, if they ever knew, that a radical Islamist killed RFK on June 6, 1968.

Trump reads every big newspaper every day. It’s how he keeps current...and also how he reads between the lines. He’s apparently very good at it.

“the US leaves NATO”

But Trump never said that, he said he wanted more of the financial burden carried by other countries. I watched Cruz’s press conference and his pauses and inflections clearly show his intention to slander Trump. At one point he said Trump called for weakening Nato then changed that to Trump wanted to leave Nato in mid sentence.

The man is a Harvard law school trained assassin to the truth.
