Where does it say anywhere that you have a right to live in San Francisco?

You don’t really think the Rich white liberals are going to move to “affordable” housing in Oakland, do you?

Alameda is not a suburb of SF. Stupid writer obviously doesn’t know the Bay Area

Built my home 15 years ago (in CA) and I’m 64 years old and thinking of retiring. Home is paid for, but rents here are about $2,500 to $3,000.

Alameda is NOT associated with SF. Across the Bay and closer to Oskland. Is an jetty which has its own government and unique history

They’re using the “commuting distance” redefinition of the term, most likely.

He needs to move then. People are stupid, they think that fast food workers need $15 and hour, but landlords can’t keep their rents within the market.

I have agricultural rental property and yes, rents have gone up the last 10 years, but it is also a landlords market - if you can’t afford the rent, you can’t afford to farm that much. Also, for ag business, rentals are a better ‘investment’ than buying land right now - just for the deduction.

They other side of the Bsy has been far more leftist for much longer. The old boy from Tennessee should move away or just to SF. He would be happier there

I read about one who bought a classic Victorian over in Oakland. A gay dude who set about restoring it. From the pictures he was doing a beautiful job on the place. But the locals weren’t too happy about having whitey move into their ‘hood. There goes the neighborhood...

SoCal or NorCal?

Or, as our new latino overlords put it right before the bullets fly, Sureño or Norteño?

Alameda has a darn nice climate. The bay fogs don’t often get all the way across to there when they roll in under the GG bridge. So his utility bills probably aren’t that high.

A suburb isn’t “associated” with the urban area in its proximity.

Here’s the Merriam-Webster definition for you:

“an outlying part of a city or town; a smaller community adjacent to or within commuting distance of a city”

Alameda is indeed a suburb of SF.

That’s probably the main conservative redoubt of California now that Orange County has been overrun.

The government does not have the right to control (set) rents, salaries or prices.

Obvious to anyone who is not a liberal.
