Pulp fiction: The Boston Globe satirical attack on Donald Trump is just plain odd
Washington Times ^ | 4/10/16 | Jennifer Harper

Posted on 04/11/2016 4:09:34 AM PDT by markomalley

The Boston Globe spent much time and energy to craft a realistic looking but frankly fake front page Sunday, all for an editorial titled “The GOP must stop Trump.” It consisted of imaginary speculation about the nation under the guidance of President Donald Trump — whose “vision for the future of our nation is as deeply disturbing as it is profoundly un-American,” the news organization said. Headlines ran amok, ranging from “Deportations to Begin” to “U.S. soldiers refuse orders to kill ISIS families.”

It is an odd, ambitious and detailed project doubtless involving multiple reporters, designers and editors tasked with fabricating “stories” that bandy about the name of Donald Trump, along with Gov. Chris Christie, who’s cast as the U.S. attorney general, and Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

It is hard to say whether Globe readers would have preferred such efforts go to, say, a tutorial on national security, personal finances or family values. The project earned considerable press, but not much criticism.

“Can anyone imagine the outrage that liberal media pundits would have had if say, The New York Post or The Washington Times had created a fake page predicting that President Obama would force people off the insurance they wanted to keep, and food stamp use would soar by 70 percent?” demanded Tim Graham, director of media analysis for the Media Research Center, a conservative press watchdog. “Imagine those complaints and transfer them to this: A serious newspaper doesn’t satirize the news. It leaves it to The Onion.”

"It consisted of imaginary speculation"

This differs from the rest of the MSM, how?

We are seeing things in this election that we have never seen before. Every outrage and insult to the American people previously perpetrated by the liberal and socialist left, is being surpassed several times over.

Because reporting the real news (e.g., Obamacare failure, Hillary’s e-mail) is so boring.

Doesn’t this qualify as a large campaign ad for all of Trump’s opponents, and can’t Trump demand in kind retribution. This is far beyond the news reporting function of any newspaper.

The newspaper is doing Trump a big favor.

Thousands of Massachusetts taxpayers surrounded the State House understandably upset b/c: Adult illegals, Obama trucked into their state from the border, were posing as "unaccompanied alien children," and were attempting to enroll in MA public high schools.

“Some of them had gray hair, saying they’re 17 years old, and have no documentation,” said Lynn mayor’s office.School policy is to check w/ family----who confirmed at least one HS enrollee was a 35-year old adult.

Gray-haired men enrolling in MA schools? More like drug lords infiltrating schools---planning to set up lifelong lucrative businesses getting kids addicted......giving out free samples. Could also be sex traffickers ---lining up kiddies for johns (and for pedophiles) who pay big bucks to get ahold of the little darlings.

==========================================

AND THIS Boston bombing survivors are outraged that Tsarnaev family's trip to the US for the trial was paid for with their tax dollars. That's b/c the US govt mandates that struggling taxpayers foot the bill for these people to go back and forth between America and their "supposedly" hostile homelands on the taxpayers' dime.

Taxpayers footed the bills for the entire buck-sucking Tsarnaev's for a long, l-o-n-g time. When these immigrants get to the US they claim "asylum" b/c that triggers endless monthly Social Security checks ......that's just for starters.

=================================================

BACKSTORY Immediately after the Boston bombing, then-Democrat Mass Gov Deval Patrick ordered Massachusetts govt agencies to conceal welfare documents from taxpayers. But sources who saw 500 pages of welfare documents (requested by a state legislator) told News Center 5 that the entire Chechnyan immigrant Tsarnaev family collected upwards of $100,00 tax dollars free and clear. MA taxpayers financed the killing and maiming of their own friends and neighbors.

================================================

MASSACHUSETTS TAXPAYERS WERE UNKNOWINGLY FORCED TO FINANCE THE TSARNEV BROTHERS' DIRTY DEEDS BIGTIME ---After the Boston bombing, Massachusetts Democrat Gov Deval Patrick refused to divulge info WRT massive public assistance to the bomber killers/Chechen immigrants.

But state welfare officials were forced to come clean b/c the info is available to lawmakers. State Rep David Linsky called on the Mass Dept of Transitional Assistance to provide the info..... issuing an ultimatum, giving them 24 hours to provide the info.

The Boston Herald published the state's response: 'My office is working to fully comply with your request,' DTA interim commissioner Stacey Monahan wrote, saying they were only providing a summary 'given the great interest in this matter.'

Chechen immigrants--the bombers' parents----were eligible as legal, non-citizen residents who claimed "asylum" status and met the eligibility criteria for DTA, DTA interim commissioner Stacey Monahan said in a letter to David Linsky, Chairman of the Mass House Post Audit and Oversight Committee.

Multiple state agencies, on orders from Democrat Gov Patrick, refused to comment on the bomber brothers' welfare haul.

<><> WRT Tamerlan receiving UI benefits, Labor dept spokesman Kevin Franck refused to comment....

<><> Univ of Mass-- Dartmouth spokesman Robert Connolly refused to comment on the financial aid app of 19 -year-old soph Dzhokhar. 'It is our position - and I believe the accepted position in higher education - that student records including academic records and financial records (including financial aid) cannot under federal law be released without a student’s consent.'

<><> The FCC would not discuss whether the suspected bombers had govt-paid Obamaphones.

<><> Cambridge housing officials would not comment on if the brothers had Section 8 rental subsidy offered by the HUD to low income households.

<><> Chechen immigrants--the bombers' parents--were legal, non-citizen residents who claimed "asylum" status and met the eligibility criteria for endless SS checks.

<><> In sum, while planning the bombing, the Chechneyan immigrants received every conceivable tax-paid public benefit available out there.

Some of them had gray hair, saying they’re 17 years old,

Even Dr. Richard Kimball knew to color his hair.

Odd only in the fact that this election cycle is nothing we've ever experienced before in modern times ... perhaps ever

There is no democrat activity of any consequence,

The republican party seems hell bent on committing suicide

and a democrat will be selected President because of it

A democrat that never runs a campaign becomes POTUS ... go figger

Owned by John Henry, the guy who owns the Red Sox.

Wouldn’t be bad to see the Sox pay for this in popularity and patronage.

Back in the 80's, I think it was the staff of the Harvard Lampoon that would publish a parody of the Wall Street Journal on April 1...They did so for several years. My all time favorite headline was.....

POLISH VELCRO CROP FAILS
