Op-Ed: Sorry to tell you, but….
Arutz Sheva ^ | 22/4/16 | Dr. Mordechai Kedar

Posted on 04/23/2016 3:34:08 PM PDT by Eleutheria5

My dear friends, Jews in Israel and the Diaspora.

I am sorry to tell you that the terror attacks we from which we suffer today and yesterday, a week ago, a month, a year and a decade and century ago, are all part of the same war, the same struggle, the same Jihad waged against us by our neighbors for over a century.... .....

I am sorry to disappoint you but the worst thing that ever happened to Israel's hopes for peace was the rise of the peace movements....

The peace movements turned Israel's image into that of a weak and soft defeatist country, the exact opposite of the kind of country that achieves peace in the Middle East. In the violent and radical region where Israel is trying to survive, anyone considered weak gets kicked, you know exactly where, and is sent to hell in the best case, or butchered and beheaded as a matter of course.

In the Middle East, peace means that your enemies leave you alone because you are too strong, threatening and dangerous to start up with. In the Middle East only the unvanquished obtain peace.

Anyone who does not accept these facts, who is not ready for "blood, sweat and tears," he who impatiently demands "Peace Now" does not belong in the Middle East. Here, we have room only for the brave, the strong, the steadfast and those who believe in the justice of their cause. Anyone who lacks those traits can find a suitable home somewhere else, where life is peaceful, quiet, prosperous and blooming. May we suggest Paris, Brussels, Madrid, Boston or San Bernardino….

Kosher and happy Passover wishes to all the Children of Israel!

Today is both Passover, Hitler's Birthday and Earth Day. Such a coincidence requires an editorial.

I wish we could hear the Italian singer Sergio Franchi sing in Hebrew ——”Hatikvah” (The Hope)-— a Traditional Passover song.

He recorded the song on an album....

There is a thrilling excerpt of Franchi singing the song on the Ed Sullivan Show on a youtube video.

Lawsy me. That calls for a song. One night a border guard was takin' the air Locked up the crossing with the greatest of care Down by the Rio Grande something stirred When he shouted, "Who's there?" This is what he heard

There ain't nobody here but us Muslims There ain't nobody here at all So calm yourself and stop that fuss There ain't nobody here but us

We Muslims lovin' piece and you butt in And hobble, hobble, hobble, hobble with your chin There ain't nobody here but us Muslims There ain't nobody here at all

You're Trumpin' around and shakin' the ground Kicking up an awful fuss We Muslims lovin' piece and you butt in And hobble, hobble, hobble, hobble it's a sin

Tomorrow is a busy day We got things to do, we got plans to lay We got tunnels to dig and Jooos! to catch It takes a lot of sittin', gettin' plans to hatch

Oh, there ain't nobody here but us Muslims There ain't nobody here at all So quiet yourself and stop that fuss There ain't nobody here but us

Kindly point the gun the other way And hobble, hobble, hobble, hobble off and stay away Tomorrow is a busy day We got things to do, we got plans to lay We got tunnels to dig and Jooos! to catch It takes a lot of sittin', gettin' plans to hatch

Oh, there ain't nobody here but us Muslims There ain't nobody here at all So quiet yourself and stop that fuss There ain't nobody here but us

Kindly point the gun the other way And hobble, hobble, hobble, hobble off and stay away Hey, hey boss man, what do you say? It ain't your problem. There ain't nobody here but us Muslims.

Well said. But this statement is true not just of Israel in the Middle East. It's also true of the United States in the world. Time we recognized it.

I miss the days when if you messed with Israel, they paid you back tenfold. The last skirmish with Hezbollah was a disgrace.

Why aren’t all the Palestinians forcibly deported from the Jewish homeland, to the Arab Homeland of saudi arabia?

FYI, a point regarding the use of “border guard:”

“The men and women who work as agents are not border guards. They are Border Patrol Agents. That is what we call ourselves, and we hope that you will honor this. All three words are capitalized because it is a title: ‘Border Patrol Agent Smith is a seven year veteran of the Border Patrol.’ The term border guards sounds very East German to us.”

I think I see part of the problem here. Bruce Jenner calls himself a woman, doesn't make it so.

Fact is the USA needs border guards, most especially along the southern border. The very definition of a nation state includes the defense of its borders. Perhaps the ones that feel dishonored and offended by the term border guard, which is a concise job description, should look to another career as travel agents or somesuch.

As the father of a Border Patrol Agent, one that was twice injured on the job and shot a drug smuggler that tried to kill him, it will be appreciated if you would be more respectful of those on the line and honor them by referring to them by their professional, official, more accurate job title.

*****************

Well we can have both if the title is so meaningful. The Agents can occupy the Check
points along the highways some 50 or so miles inland and the Guards can patrol the
Rio Grande and catch those crossing the river. Whatever the names be they need
enough bodies to do the job.

I have deep and abiding respect for all who serve to protect our country on the front lines.

Let’s not confuse the essential function with job titles. If an act of congress is necessary to more clearly define the functions, badly eroded by executive fiat over the past twenty four years, then so be it. Those two and a half decades can by no measure be counted as successful despite the commitment of individuals. They are not the problem, the political overseeing apointees determine the amount of effort applied to pursuing enforcement of the charter function of the organization according to law. If the national command authority fails through deliberate flouting of the law, well, we the people have to fix this.

I’m guessing that your son is frustrated by the conditions under which he serves which have nothing to do with the job title. Deeds not words are the concern of all of us.

respectfully,
Cov
