Bush was the reason for the rejection of McCain while the simultaneous rejection of Hillary was the reason for Obama.
Obama is hands down the reason for Trump winning the primary.
Hillary, tied at the hip to Obama is precisely why Trump will win the general election, likely by a landslide.
This is a total rejection of Obama (Obamacare, Benghazi and all of it), more than a tidal shift of the electorate’s voting patterns. Modern voting shifts more on a whim (style and emotion) and less based on party. Polls can no longer pretend to statistically predict (to the extent they ever really could) the whims of the electorate. Trump knows all of this. Bernie also knows all this and both have seized upon it.
I always say, sometimes, timing is everything.
If Bernie manages to seize upon it with much greater (think Yuge) momentum he could actually pull it off right under all our noses, all for the very same reasons Trump is popular.
We cannot again dismiss how totally bewildered the voting public can become with perceived personality. I don’t think Bernie has shown any so far. But a lot of people like him. I just hope that does not grow. Nobody I can find actually likes Hillary.
Obama, or Hillary, could as easily be said to be the reason for Bernie. Let us please not lose sight of Bernie.
If Bernie were to beat Hillary, it would result in a very dangerous predicament purely in regards to enthusiasm in November.
It may be hazardous to say, but I hope Hillary prevails over Bernie so that the whole country can reject her in unison in November. She deserves another good a** kicking.
