Secret TPP Text Unveiled: It’s Worse than We Thought

The TPP lowers U.S. tariffs to zero, giving our competitors unfettered access to the U.S. market while some other countries are allowed dramatically longer periods of time to open their markets. 

The ability of other countries, like Vietnam, to maintain their tariffs for significant periods of time will provide further incentives for U.S. companies to outsource production and offshore jobs and use Vietnam as an export platform to send their products back to the U.S. A good example of this is our experience with China where more than 45% of the products produced by foreign-invested enterprises are exported to the U.S. rather than sold to Chinese consumers. 

According to an initial analysis published in the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. market access concessions alone will increase the U.S. trade deficit in manufactured goods and autos and auto parts by more than $55 billion dollars resulting in the loss of more than 330,000 jobs. 

Tariffs are not the only impediment to U.S. exports to TPP countries. The TPP countries with whom the U.S. does not have existing free trade agreements with have utilized various market access impediments as well as maintain state-owned enterprises and non-market economic policies (Vietnam) to ensure the success of their companies. The TPP will do little to ensure that access for U.S. exports will increase to offset the flood of imports that are anticipated. 

Lodi, that's exactly how we got where we are: Cruz's masterful, stealthy parliamentarian tricks that got TPA passed. Without TPA there would be no TPP or TTIP. TPA removes all congressional input from the trade agreement approval process. Congress can't amend it, can't even FILIBUSTER it, thanks to the TPA. The President negotiates it in secret, then hands the signed, completed document to us and says this is the law.

We tried for months to demonstrate the truth to the Cruz, Levin, Beck and other globalists' supporters.

That statement, that no conservative would vote for TPP or TPA or NAFTA is the key to understanding the conservative/liberal paradigm and the 21st century paradigm, which is GLOBALISM versus American Patiotism.

Far less than 1/4 of the text of TPP is about trade. Most of it is about international law, regulation, global courts, etc.

It is about surrendering the sovereignty of the USA.

And the "free trade" aspects in which goods may flow from signatories into the USA freely, this will apply to PEOPLE, too, to WORKERS. To make TPP more palatable they excluded China from TPP initially though China very much wished to be included. After TPP is in place, the framework is already there to then bring in China. And Chinese labor may freely flow into the USA just like Chinese goods flow in with no tariffs. All jobs in the USA that can't be offshored to other countries will be done by Chinese and Indians. (See the massive H1B increases for India brought to us by Cruz/Rubio and the amnesty people. H1B are the visas for the GOOD, well paying STEM jobs.)

I spent months here, trying to inform starry-eyed Cruzers about Ted’s hand in this treason, but most rejected the facts, and continued to chant the ‘consistent conservative’ mantra.

Even more heartbreaking, is that many of those are long time friends, and other very intelligent people. Most astounding, was the fact that talkers like Levin and Limbaugh seemed utterly in the dark about Ted’s hand in passing TPA, and how that greased the skids for the TPP.
