Obama For the Supreme Court
The Boston Blobe ^ | May 10, 2016 | HDS Greenway

Posted on 05/10/2016 6:34:20 AM PDT by Jim Noble

BY NOW it is clear that Merrick Garland, President Obama’s nomination to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by Antonin Scalia’s death, is not going anywhere. But if Hillary Clinton wins the White House, Senate Republicans may make a desperate about-face during the lame-duck session to lock in the moderate Garland before the arrival of Clinton and a possibly more left-leaning candidate. By then, however, it will be too late.

Sorry, Judge Garland, but what Clinton should do if she wins is make clear that her choice will be none other than Barack Obama, a former professor of constitutional law, and the perfect choice to assume his place on the nation’s highest court. Naturally there will be a lot of gnashing of Republican teeth, but this scenario assumes that the Democrats will regain the Senate in the wake of an electoral debacle by Donald Trump...

He wasn’t. It’ just a lie.

I don’t know if “Boston Blobe” was an intentional or accidental typo. Either way, it gave me a good chuckle.

“Moderate Garland.”

Get real. There is nothing “moderate” about an under-the-radar leftist.

"Barack Obama, a former professor of constitutional law"

No, Obama was never a "professor" of con law. He was a guest lecturer, a far cry from a professor. About on par with an associate instructor. He never practiced law to any real degree and he's never even served as a judge. Not even in traffic court. Thus, he's totally unqualified to be SC justice. Heck, he's really not even qualified to be a municipal court judge.

Mistakes like that make me rate the author near the bottom and to discontinue reading his or her drivel. If you cannot get the simplest and most basic FACTS straight, how good is your thinking?

Barack Obama, a former professor of constitutional law

He was no more a professor of anything than I was an astronaut. Because I know where to find stars does not make me an expert in space travel. Because he heard of a Constitution and has opinion about it does not make him a "professor of constitutional law".

The only “con law” that obama taught was Alinsky!!!! PHOOEY!!!!

Oh well, obama would be only a bit less qualified for the Court than Sotomayor and Kagan.

Only a Trump victory can allow America to get a new batch of excellent, well-qualified Supreme Court Justices who know and defend the Constitution and Christian civilization!!!!

this scenario assumes that the Democrats will regain the Senate

This also assumes Obama would want to take on a life long job where he couldn't place the blame on others.

When John Titor came to the year 1999 from the the future he warned us about the Y2K problem and how it caused major damage and civil war

When he returned in 2003 he said he was surprised that Y2K didn’t happened for our time line, and so the civil war never happened. And this appeared to make him uneasy because he thought he prevented it- and that the end result of the civil war was a society where you interacted more with your local neighbors and the federal government played little part in everyday life anymore.

he also seamed to suggest civil war was inevitable and we just delayed it.

I am starting to believe him.

He's not qualified for any profession. Take out politics and he's never had a real job at all.

Professor! What a laugh.

This guy is the equal of a professor like the guy in the 20’s who played the piano in a whore house, he was also known as a professor.

He would be confirmed unanimously.

The Pubbies in the Senate would remain in mortal, quaking fear of showing ANY opposition towards the black guy.

He was a part time ‘instructor’ hired by the University by someone’s direction. No talent lazy political hack with no demonstrated provenance of his education.

Further, he wouldn’t accept just any SC nomination. It would have to be for Chief Justice or nothing at all.
