In a brief interview Friday with The Associated Press, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus also said the party's presumptive presidential nominee should keep having conversations with GOP leaders. Trump met Thursday with House Speaker Paul Ryan and other GOP leaders.

A Trump supporter, California GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter, says he's heard that Trump plans to meet rank-and-file GOP lawmakers in coming weeks.

Talk about damning with faint praise - “trying to act more presidential”. What a dose of vinegar and water Rinsed Prenis is.

The other day Rinsed was saying that Trump will “tone down his rhetoric”.
If that means that he believes Trump will stop pointing out embarrassing things like, “Hillary Clinton is a congenital liar”, he completely misunderstood their meeting.
Trump won’t allow himself to be neutered by the GOP-e. He’s got all the money he needs and doesn’t need to grease a career path as an egg-sucking Uniparty politician.
FURP!

Notice they didn't quote Priebus.

It's my guess that the NYT is just trying to piss conservatives off and diminish support for Trump by issuing a condensing statement .

Duncan Hunter Jr's bio is a very interesting read and impressive. He meets Trump's qualifications.

If Trump starts toning it down and “acting” presidential he will lose.
Remember how Romney attacked in first debate with Obama and then toned down down down and lost!
He shouldn’t be “presidential” until he is President!

I hope you are right and Trump keeps his big balls.

The NYT realizes that conservatives don’t read their paper. They are trying to make him look bad to their readership audience. That is what they do.

He boldly was the first congressman to address Trump.

He shares his father’s wisdom and experience, but has youth (40) on his side to carry the torch 2020 or 2024.

Rep. Duncan Hunter: Bush, Romney And Rubio Are “Angry Losers,” “This Is Over” 03/04/2016 by DeathBeforeDishonor1 realclearpolitics

REP. DUNCAN HUNTER: I didn’t watch the debate, there have been about 25,000 debates, this was about 25,001... This is over. You’re having tens of millions of Republican voters coming out to vote for Trump. So I understand Romney has an issue, Jeb Bush lost, Romney lost, Marco Rubio lost. They’re all kind of in the angry loser group. I’m sorry, but you have millions of Republican voters voting for Donald Trump and that’s just the way it is. Period.

How lame of them to act as if he’s the child and they’re the adults with that “trying to be more presidential” crap. he’s 3 times the man than their manliest and I prefer that we finally get a bona fide man in the WH.

Outperforming the current occupier will not be a challenge.

Gee noob...how convenient.

Ted’s father is out likely a CIA operative. His history has holes a mile wide in it. Cruz boldly addressed no one.

Want to know exactly how much of a politician he is? Ted just assumed the South would vote for him so he spent almost zero time campaigning here. Trump came and worked hard. Trump won.

Secondly, Ted wrote an op ed in favor of TPP with Paul Ryan. That is hardly a conservative position. Ted wants amnesty and open borders. That is hardly a conservative position. Ted doesn’t care if unveiled muslims enter this country. That is hardly a conservative position.

I don’t care if I have to hound him from here on out. Ted Cruz will never be president (nor the nominee) on my watch
