Pope Francis Defends Jihad, Says Christianity Has Roots in Idea of Conquest [Rev 13]

Islam and Christianity share the "same idea of conquest", and for that reason, Islam should not be viewed as a threat, said Pope Francis in a newspaper interview this week.

"It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam," he conceded to the French Catholic newspaper La Croix. "However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew's Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest."

Ostensibly, the Pope was drawing a parallel between the Islamic "conquest" known as jihad, a holy war or struggle waged against infidels, and Christian missionizing. The comparison was part of a larger conversation about the increasingly desperate refugee crisis currently facing Europe. Pope Francis has been an outspoken voice on the issue of Arab refugees who seek asylum, encouraging governments to take in migrants and "integrate" them into western societies despite widespread concerns that the largely Muslim populations might harbor extremist or terrorist elements...

"...[Muslims] worship the one living and merciful God, and call upon him in prayer." - Pope Francis (First Ecumenical and Interreligious Event, March 2013)

The Bible foretells that in the last days just before the return of Jesus, an international religious figure will rise on the scene uniting the world's religions. This religious figure will look like a self-sacrificing, godly, philanthropist. A real lover of man, the earth, and peace! He will appear harmless as a lamb, but when he speaks, he speaks like a ravenous dragon. To say that the triune God of the Bible is the same god as the singular Allah is a betrayal of 2000 years of Christian Martyrs who died confessing Jesus is the Christ of God, 2nd person of the triune Godhead. The coming figure, feigning faith in Jesus Christ, will direct everyone to worship another political figure who will be promoted to help solve the world's problems. Somehow this religious figure is so intertwined with politics and the economic system, he is able to promote a new worldwide economic order where all must have the the political figure's "mark" on their person (forehead or right hand) in order to purchase, and to show loyalty to the "new world system". The Bible is also clear that whoever receives this "mark" will be damned to hell, with no hope of redemption. I am not sure if Pope Francis IS this religious figure. If not, he is certainly a wonderful forerunner. Every time he opens his mouth, he continues his foray into the world religious, political, and economic orders and his consistent promotion of Islam and Allah as God of the Bible, homosexuality, and Marxism/Socialism betray his "inner dragon"...

Revelation 13: 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein * to worship the first beast, whose * deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak , and cause that as many as would * not worship the image of the beast should be killed *. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great *, rich and poor *, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand *, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell , save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

“”It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam,” he conceded to the French Catholic newspaper La Croix.” I didn’t have to read any further.

The sooner this crazy Pope leaves the scene the better. He sure destroys the notion the Pope is infallible.

Jesuit pope doing what Jesuits do - opposing all that is good, supporting all that is not good, in their quest for world domination.

At a time when there is documented genocide by Muslims against Christians in the middle east, the supposed head of the Catholic church praises jihadists.

Pope Francis is an evil man. He is not man of God.

"He sure destroys the notion the Pope is infallible."<

Actually, it doesn't. Nobody ever said the Pope is infallible except under very stringent conditions, that is, speaking ex cathedra ("from the chair") on a matter of faith and morals, intending a doctrine which would be binding permanently "de fide" (to be believed as a matter of religious faith) on all the faithful everywhere.

No pope has spoken in such a way in my lifetime.

(IF he said what they reported verbatim)

....possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest....

Our Blessed Lord sent his Disciples to baptize, preach, evangelize, help the needy, etc.

Jesus certainly did not call it a ‘conquest’.

I suspect a translation error or journalistic sabotage.

That’s not how it works. Ex cathedra statements are only infallible. There’s only two instances where there’s been a universal agreement that such was the case.

Unfortunately this guy likes to shoot from the hip and make a mess of things.
