WASHINGTON — A proposed amendment aimed at defunding a controversial Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulation related to Section 8 Housing was tabled in the upper chamber Thursday.

Utah Sen. Mike Lee proposed an amendment to the Senate Transportation and HUD appropriations bill that would have defunded a regulation stopping the implementation of the HUD regulation known as Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH).

Republicans control the Senate, right? Get them OUT, get them ALL OUT. And they act like they don't understand why there is a Donald Trump. Bull. Even while trying to make Trump the bad guy in the effort for party "unity" they CONTINUE to screw conservatives/Republicans/AMERICANS.

This is the Castro/Obama plan to move Section 8 residents into houses next door to you and HUD pays their rent. To make things fair, y'know. Some call it part of the Obama/United Nations' "War on Suburbs".

Not much info about this online yet. But it's a McConnell deal where the Repubs continue to support the Obama agenda 100%, McConnell lines up Repubs who are not running for re-election this year and they vote with the Dems to get a super-majority defeating Lee's amendment

Defund and close HUD. Its activities are not authorized by the Constitution and it only serves a constituency that never votes Republican. Why should Republicans ever support what is only largess for Democrat voters?

I wish I could feign surprise. But it has been crystal clear for a long time now that democrats and republicans are flip sides of the same coin: the Big Government coin.

Nary a difference.

“This is the new Republican winners!!”

This is the goatslop we keep electing, and our choice is between electing them and the GOP giving the Dems what they want or having all Dems, who will take our guns, empty the prisons, and usurp what’s left of our paychecks as work serfs.

Great choice huh?

Where does Trump stand on this. He could solidify support from conservatives if he were to come out against this.

However, Lee’s amendment to defund AFFH was tabled by a vote of 60 to 37. Republicans opposed to Lee’s provision offered an alternative through an amendment proposed by Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins, which some conservative outlets derided as a toothless attempt to cover for Republicans who voted to table Lee’s amendment.

Well, one of the usual suspects, but it was a 60-37 vote to table Lee's amendment. And the usual excuses.

People represented by these traitors should be burning their phone lines up, carrying protest signs in front of their local offices, and contributing to their opponents when they run again.

And, NEVER, EVER vote for them again!
